Turning to the history books, a history of China is a vivid history of martial arts.

According to the Chronicle of History, "From the Five Emperors to the Qin... Winter Prayer Temple. Since the time of the Ancient Yellow Emperor, China's ancestors have held "competitions to worship ancestors" in winter. What exactly is the content of the competition? Among the petroglyphs handed down from many primitive societies, there are many "martial arts" contents that are combined with witchcraft. Except that there was no special ring at that time, and everyone gathered in the square to watch the warriors perform.

Qin-Han martial arts competition ring

During the Qin and Han dynasties, horn arrival was prevalent and was mainly used for entertainment activities. In addition to being in the folk, Kakudai also entered the court. Qin II was the number one fan of Jiaodeng, and in order to see Jiaojiao, he almost forgot to eat and sleep, "The gift of the first king is not in the erotic pleasure." ”

The form of the "ring" in the Qin and Han dynasties is depicted on a wooden comb excavated in 1975.

In 1975, a wooden grate painting "Sumo Map" was excavated from the Qin Tomb of Fenghuangshan in Jiangling, Hubei Province.

The three people are naked on the top and shorts on the bottom. The one on the left has his hands outstretched (in line with the modern martial art Sanda "start" pass gesture) and appears to be the referee of the match. There is a half-moon arc around it, which should be the curtain of the game, and the upper part of the picture has a curtain knot. At this time, the corner match should be carried out in the curtain. The playing field is the platform.

Ming Dynasty "Zhongyi Water Margin" description of the competition ring

Sumo wrestling flourished in the Song Dynasty. Whether it is at the court banquets of the Song Dynasty or the folk "hook bar tiles", there are sumo wrestling sports. The "Dream Liang Record" records: "Hangzhou has Zhou Qiankui, Wang Qiankui, Yang Long foot... The third lady of the house, the fourth sister of the black and other women. ”

It can be seen that in addition to the wide participation of men in sumo wrestling in the Song Dynasty, women also participated, and there were many masters. In addition to sumo performances, the Song Dynasty also had many official competitions - the ring.

In the chapter "Zhipu Optimus Prime" in the "Zhongyi Water Margin" during the Ming Dynasty, there is an illustration describing the shape of the Ring in the Song Dynasty:

A wooden rectangular ring about one person high, with a flag and an open and unobstructed surrounding area.

Modern boxing rings enter China

In ancient China, the rules of the ring were chaotic, and there was no uniform standard for the size, material and height of the ring, sometimes the high platform was built, and sometimes the "painting the ground was a prison", and there was no real "table". Sometimes stones and rammed earth are piled up, and sometimes wooden platforms are built. Sometimes the point is stipulated, and sometimes it is stipulated that "the contract of life and death" is "either dead or injured".

In 1743, the famous British boxer Jack Browton formulated one of the earliest boxing rules, which stipulated: "In the course of a game, if one party is knocked to the ground and cannot get up after 30 seconds, it is a failure." When one side falls to the ground, the other side can no longer continue to attack. ”

The earliest boxing rope rings

In 1853, the rules of boxing were revised, and for the first time it was explicitly required: "During the competition, the ring must be surrounded by a rope".

In 1943, the Western boxing community officially proposed to compete against Chinese martial arts, led by Wang Ziping, a well-known martial artist in Shanghai, led eight martial artists to resolutely fight Western boxing on behalf of Chinese martial arts, determined to win glory for the Chinese people and defeat the foreigners. The tournament is held at the Shanghai Huili Stadium, and the ring of the competition is the "rope ring". The match between Russian boxer Masorov and 15-year-old Chinese teenager Cai Longyun came into focus. In the end, Cai Longyun won the match with a 3-0 victory over Masorov.

In 1979, during the Fourth National Games, the State Sports Commission arranged for the zhejiang and Beijing sports institutes to go to Shijiazhuang to compete in an exhibition match with the Hebei Provincial Sports Team. This competition did not use a ring in the general sense, only drew a circle with a radius of three meters on the ground with relevant protective measures, and the circle was judged to be out of bounds, similar to the current stepping down, and the safety was also guaranteed compared with the previous high platform fortress.

1985 China-Hong Kong Muay Thai Boxers Ring

In September 1988, the National Sanda Competition was held in Lanzhou. This competition is the first stage competition on the basis of the previous casual hand confrontation exhibition competition. The platform is 60 centimeters high, 8 meters long and 8 meters wide, and there is a taiji map in the center, which aims to highlight the national culture and characteristics of the mainland. The countertops slightly above the ground and the security measures used for protection around them not only preserve the competitiveness of the ring competition, but also greatly protect the physical safety of the athletes. Since then, the martial arts loose hand competition and ring form have been determined, which greatly expresses the style of Chinese martial arts.

From February 28 to March 2, 1991, the Beijing International Wushu Casual Hand Invitational Tournament was held at the Capital Gymnasium. 49 athletes competed, and the ring was more standardized. The competition is held in a square ring "80 cm high, 800 cm long and 800 cm wide".

On March 25, 2000, the Chinese Wushu Sanda King Championship was launched, and the competition adopted the "International Standard Boxing Ring". The Chinese Martial Arts Sanda King Tournament Rules stipulate:
