In the early morning of March 8, Beijing time, FIFA officially announced the temporary revision of the transfer rules, the adoption of a temporary transfer system in The Ukrainian and Russian leagues, the contract of Ukrainian foreign players and coaches "automatically suspended", and the contract of Russian foreign players and coaches can be unilaterally suspended.
In recent times, the "Russian-Ukrainian conflict" has not stopped. Due to the uncertainty of the Conflict between Russia and Ukraine, FIFA announced that clubs under the Russian Football Association have failed to reach an agreement with their foreign players and coaches before March 10, and foreign players and coaches have the right to unilaterally suspend their contracts until the end of the season (June 30, 2022), unless otherwise agreed in writing by the parties.
In order to protect the clubs of the Ukrainian League, FIFA has announced that the contracts of all foreign players and coaches of all teams under the jurisdiction of the Ukrainian Football Federation will be automatically suspended (unless otherwise expressly provided by the two parties in the contract) until the end of the season (June 30, 2022), and no other action will be taken by the two sides.
Following FIFA's announcement of the rule, it means that these players and coaches will be considered free until June 30, 2022, and foreign players and coaches of Russian and Ukrainian leagues whose contracts are "suspended" are free to sign contracts with other teams without any consequences. FIFA also allows foreign aid from the Russian-Ukrainian league to register for the closing period of one of the other leagues, only on April 7. To further protect the integrity of the tournament, clubs can register up to two players under this rule.
There are currently more than 130 foreign players in the Russian Premier League, including former Liverpool defender Lovren, former Ajax winger Promes and former Barca player Malcolm, former AC Milan Uruguay international Lax Salt, South Korean international Huang Renfan and so on. The Ukrainian Premier League also has excellent foreign aides like Neres and Tate. The departure of these foreign aides is an invisibly huge loss for the leagues of the two countries.
