The NBA regular season is just over a month away, and the selection of various awards has become the focus of fans' attention. Just recently, the open-air stands made a wave of predictions for the best team of the season. Morant, DeRozan and others successfully selected for one team, while Curry and KD fell to the second team. Paul and Mitchell led the three teams.
All-time squad: Morant, DeRozan, Alphabet, James, Embiid
Guard: Morant, Memphis Grizzlies
The 2019 chart-and-eye show has exploded this season, and he is seen as the future façade of the NBA and a strong contender for MVP. Morant helped Memphis achieve the league's best 24-6 record since Dec. 26, averaging 30.6 points, 51.2 percent shooting, 6.5 assists and 6.2 rebounds per game. He's eighth in plus-minus and sixth in player efficiency, and given his continued rise with the Grizzlies, he may not hesitate to get that position by the end of the season.
Defender: DeRozan, Bulls
The 32-year-old is spending his peak season. He averaged 28.2 points per game, 35.8 percent three-point shooting, 24.6 player efficiency, 0.186 win contribution per 48 minutes and a plus-minus 3.4 on the penalty area are all career highs.
Forwards: Alphabet Brother, Bucks
Alphabet brother ranked second on the scoring list (29.4), seventh in rebounds (11.4) and fifteenth in blocks (1.4). He even has hope of winning both the MVP award and the DOPY award in the same season, on par with Jordan.
Forward: James, Lakers
Some will complain about the choice, and some always seem to disagree with the compliments on James. Compared to expectations, the Lakers performed badly, but James's personal performance was perfect.
He averaged 36.8 minutes per game and scored 28.9 points. His 52.0 percent shooting percentage is his highest in four seasons, while his 75.4 percent free throw percentage is his best since the 2011-12 season.
This is where we remind you that he is 37 years old in his 19th NBA season.
Center: Joel Embiid, Philadelphia 76ers
Last season, Joel Embiid trailed Jokic in the MVP vote. This season, Embiid has improved a lot. He averaged 29.8 points per game, far ahead of the league. He grabbed 11.1 rebounds and gave 4.4 assists in each game.
If Embiid can maintain this form, he could become the first Philadelphia 76ers to be named to the All-Team First Team since Alan Iverson in 2005.
All-second team: Curry, Doncic, Durant, Tatum, Jokic
Guard: Curry, Golden State Warriors
Curry was an MVP candidate at the start of the season, but he and the Warriors both had a low that affected his ranking. Even so, being able to enter the second team proves that Curry is the top 4 defender player in the league, which is already a hard-won honor.
Defender: Doncic, Lone Ranger
Doncic's stats are incredible (27.5 points, 9.1 rebounds and 8.8 assists per game). He deserves the honor of a second-team defender.
Forward: Durant, Nets
A healthy Durant, one of the best players in the NBA. The problem is that Durant has missed too many games this season, which caused him to fall to second team.
Forward: Jason Tatum, Celtics
In the past 14 games, the Celtics have won 12 games, and Tatum has played a great role. Today's win over the Nets, Tatum scored 54 points, which sent his average of 26.5 points per game to 8th in the league.
Center: Jokic, Denver Nuggets
Jokic's personal performance is blameless, he is an MVP contender. Unfortunately, when another MVP candidate, Embiid, is also fit to play as a center forward, the restrictions of this form of voting will force the first team that was supposed to be in the second team. Embiid's only lead is the team's record, the Nuggets are full of injuries, and Jokic has performed very well.
All-in-three teams: Paul, Mitchell, Siakam, Butler, Towns
Defenders: Paul, Suns
Paul won't play again in the regular season due to a broken thumb, but he's played 58 games, and those are enough to guarantee him in the all-team three-team lineup. This season, Paul has averaged 10.7 assists per game, leading the league.
Defender: Mitchell, Sir Utah
This is the most controversial position. Choosing Mitchell would mean rejecting Harden, Trae Young, Booker, Garland and Lavin, which is not an easy task. Mitchell's personal performance is really good, though, and he's one of only 10 players in the league to average 25 points, five assists and four rebounds per game.
Forward: Butler, Heat
The Heat are the top seeds in the East, which will help Butler get a lot of votes. So far, he's had 21.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and 5.8 assists.
Forwards: Siakam, Raptors
Siakam used to be a minor role, but he's now a star player for the Raptors. This season, he's one of six players in the league to average 21 points, eight rebounds and five assists in midfield, sharing the accolade with four MVPs (Giannis Antetokounmpo, Nikola Jokic, LeBron James and James Harden), another luka Doncic.
Center: Towns, Timberwolves
Towns has long been a data monster, but this year is different, with the Timberwolves in No. 7 in the West, and they're about to return to the playoffs. Towns averaged 24.5 points, 9.6 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game, and it's hard not to vote for him.
