Among them, the CPU/GPU leader, the leader of heterogeneous computing, and the annual salary of the DIRECTOR of AI chip research and development have reached the range of 2 million to 5 million yuan, the former salary increase is as high as 20 to 30%, and the latter is also up to 10 to 30%. Among them, design positions are still in the fastest growth type, and the increase in job hopping can be as much as 50%. According to Cree International data, the main talent gap and hot positions in the chip field this year are concentrated in IC design engineers, IC verification engineers, EDA software research and development engineers, semiconductor model development, digital verification engineers, FPGA experts, wafer packaging engineers; analog IC design engineers, physical back-end engineers, IP experts, CPU core design engineers, CPU verification engineers, ISP design engineers, SoC system architects, AI chip R&D directors, navigation chip R&D directors, CPU/GPU leaders, etc. Overall, high-end leading talents are scarce, and middle-level talents are not as abundant as foreign countries.

In terms of regions, the jiangsu and Zhejiang regions with a prominent talent gap are popular positions in the field of integrated circuits this year, including digital IC design engineers, ASIC design engineers, FPGA engineers, analog IC design engineers, RF IC design engineers, RF module design engineers, etc. In the Greater Bay Area, chip procurement experts/directors have become urgently needed positions; in the northwest region (mainly Xi'an), IC design/verification, simulation design and other positions are the most popular.

Zhang Yuan, vice president of Cree International, pointed out that from the upstream and downstream of the entire chip industry chain, the demand for talents in each link of the industrial chain is very high, especially the design and research and development talents, and the basic quality requirements for practitioners are high.
