IGN commented as follows:

It's no exaggeration to say that Eldon's Ring of Law is FromSoftware's largest and most ambitious work to date, and its ambitions have been fulfilled. After 87 hours of sweat, tears, and a few of the most difficult boss battles and countless surprises I've experienced so far, there are still some bosses waiting for challenges, as well as undiscovered secrets, side quests, and weapons, spells, and prayers that I haven't had time to try, and that's how I barely experience PVP and co-op play.

While the basics of combat are similar to what we've seen before, the massive design of ruthless enemies and the brutal but already defeatable bosses take the combat experience to the next level. Although I couldn't experience all the process on my first pass, this is pretty much the best open-world game I've ever played. Like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wilderness, The Elden's Ring of Law can be seen as a work that pushes the genre forward when looking back.
