Throughout the history of The Taishan team, Ukrainian striker Sergei Nagnyak is a famous player worth mentioning, and for the past few years, Sergey has been teaching for the Ukrainian U-series national team.
Sergei, born in 1971, played for Dnipropetrovsk, Spartak Moscow, Andaw Donetsk miners before coming to China. In early 2000, Sergey, who debuted in the A-A competition, scored a hat-trick in the match representing Shenyang Sea Lions and Luneng Taishan, defeating the Taishan team in one fell swoop. It was also a great impression of the Ukrainian striker from top to bottom of Tarzan, who scored 12 goals that season.
Before the start of the 2001 season, after hearing the news that The Russian meritorious coach Boris was going to coach Luneng Taishan, Sergey took the initiative to contact Boris, and finally with the consent of the club, Sergei joined Luneng as he wished.
In the 2001 season, Sergey and Li Xiaopeng both scored six goals, tied for the first place in the Taishan team's top scorer list. This season, Boris was disenchanted, and another Russian coach, Nepo, took charge of Luneng's coaching whip.
Sergey once revealed a little secret to the other foreign aides in the team - he called Nebo "Daddy". This "secret" "coincides" with Sergei's stable position in the Nebo Formation.
In the 2002 season, Sergei did not live up to Nepo's love, scoring nine goals with Su Maozhen, once again tied for the first place in the Taishan team's top scorer list, and he also won consecutive calls for the Ukrainian national team.
In the 2003 season, Sergey's form took a sharp turn, but the position within the team was still stable, which also led to the Taishan team only ranking 12th that season and just finishing relegation. At the end of the season, Nebo left Tarzan, and Sergey did not get another contract extension from Tarzan.
Later, Sergey returned to China to join the Kiev Arsenal, but soon after, in the summer of 2004, he returned to China again to join Jiangsu Sainty, who was in the Middle Division at the time. Not long after, Sergei returned to Ukraine to play for Volenlutsk, Zaporozhye Metallurgy, and finally chose to retire in 2006.
After retiring from the army, Sergei took up a coaching position, taught in teams such as Dnipropetrovsk, and entered the Ukrainian U series national team at the beginning of 2019, successively serving as a coach in the U16-U19 national team. In addition to this, he also serves as a football commentator.
