Prior to 2018, Dr. Sergey worked in the Department of Computer Science at Dartmouth College, focusing on: Unix systems, Linux systems, malware, hacking software, wireless networks, visualization of computer security information, natural language processing, and more
After 2018, he entered the Information Innovation Office of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Bureau.
From 1993 to 1999, he studied at Northeastern University Boston and received a master's degree in computer science and a doctorate in mathematics
From 1999 to 2001, he worked in the BBN Technology Laboratory
From 2002 to 2018, he worked at Dartmouth College, researching machine learning, artificial intelligence, etc.
Dr. Sergey's interests also include: theoretical approaches to secure languages, APImote utilities, digital radio multilingualism, Android Binder firewall, FreeBSD firewall, packet-in-packet attacks against digital radio protocols, data organization and machine learning techniques, Linux Snare, and Solaris BSM system call tracing tools.
