1. The font of writing has been formed, can it be changed, how to change the law?

A: It can be changed, and it won't take long. Many comrades believe that writing has taken shape, that age has grown older, that it cannot be changed... this view is not correct. You know, writing well is not a difficult thing, nor is it unattainable, but extremely studious, as long as you have the right method and correct the old writing habits. Specifically, when you practice writing, you must correct the posture and method of writing, which is the first condition.

Now to list two examples of ancestors practicing words, I will now talk about this issue in combination with my own experience.

As we all know, the Chinese book saint Wang Xizhi first learned books from Wei Shuo, and then saw many famous works such as the famous master Zhong Xuan, so he changed his beginner learning. It was he, who carried forward the past and opened up the future, turning the ancient calligraphy into a delicate and smooth modern style, and made creative contributions to the calligraphy, line and cursive, which is Wang Xizhi's historical merit in the history of Chinese calligraphy. Speaking of Yan Zhenqing, he first learned Chu Suiliang, and later obtained the Fa from Zhang Xu. He used the meaning of the seal to write a dignified and majestic script. It was he who pioneered a new style other than the Two Kings.

Write a good pen and brush word, no matter the age, whether you write or not, as long as you are diligent, make up your mind, realize that the work is related to the future, after some effort, you can write well.

Although the start is still late, throughout the ages, there are many famous teachers who have learned to become talents after thirty years. Liang Hao of the Song Dynasty, who was only admitted to the Jinshi at the age of eighty-two, chanted: "I also know that the young Dengke is good, and the competition for the dragon head belongs to the old Cheng." "Li Zhen of the Ming Dynasty, who abandoned the official to study, was already fifty-four years old when he decided to write a book, and his famous works "Burning Books" and "Collecting Books" were completed at the age of sixty-four and seventy-three, respectively. The achievement of achievements is not in age, the key lies in ambition and perseverance.

2. Where should I learn to write?

Answer: First of all, you must choose your ideal post, but also consider whether it is similar to the glyph you wrote, choose it, read it several times first, and analyze the main points of the glyph and the law of the structure. This is called "meaning to write first", and then use transparent white paper to first describe, then copy, and memorize the key parts of each word. The specific steps are described below:

Writing posture and writing

(1) Sit straight, shoulders should be flat, back should be straight, the body and head should not be crooked, let alone low; the eyes should be about a foot away from the tabletop, and the front chest should be about three inches from the edge of the table.

(2) The pen should be straight, the tip should be straight forward, avoid inward oblique, (as long as the palm is flattened, the nib will naturally move forward); the tip of the index finger is about an inch away from the tip. If the pen is not correct or the tip of the pen is tilted inward, it is not easy to write, it is not good to write horizontally, it is difficult to write well, it is difficult to be smooth, and even every time you write a stroke, you have to move your right hand. At the same time, the lines written have no backbone, no rhythm, and the glyphs cannot be talked about stretching generously.

(3) The slope of the pen shaft, write the big characters to take the pen up, the pen shaft slope should be slightly larger, write the small characters down, the pen shaft slope is slightly smaller. The general slope should be tilted at the index knuckle, beyond this part, and the stroke written is either rigid or dull. The slope of the pen shaft is not appropriate, the speed of the pen should be limited, and it is impossible to write a flowing, charming glyph, so it should not be tilted at the "tiger's mouth".

(4) Hold the pen easily, and move the pen freely; the pen is too tight, and the words written cannot be open and generous. According to what I saw in the middle school lectures, in a class of fifty people, forty-five people took the pen incorrectly or the tip of the pen was tilted inward, and the same was true in the university, and it was precisely for this reason that the words written by these students were not like hooks, they were not like hooks, they were not like sticks, and the strokes were all flat and piled up.

As I said before, the quality of writing is absolutely related to posture and writing. Just like carpentry sawn, if the posture and saw are not correct, even if the "line" is drawn straight, you will be sawn. This is the same as writing well.

3. How should the steps of learning calligraphy be arranged?

Answer: Start with the basic strokes of the calligraphy, that is, point, horizontal, vertical, apostrophe, pinch, lift, hook, fold eight.

A word is like a machine, the basic stroke practice is equivalent to the "parts" processing well; practicing the partial head is like starting to "assemble"; practicing the entire glyph is equivalent to entering the "assembly". That is to say, first learn to "decompose" and then learn "coherence". Therefore, the script is the foundation, and the basic stroke is the foundation of the foundation.

When practicing writing basic strokes, it is necessary to classify and practice. For example, when practicing writing "," you should practice ,,丿,、,丨, General rules: practice the basic strokes first; then practice the stroke order; three exercises are partial to the head; four are practiced in glyph structure; and five are practiced in branch layout.

4. Why is it said that to learn words, you must first practice calligraphy?

A: As we all know, when a child starts walking, he must first learn to stand, stand firmly before he can learn to take a step, and when he is familiar with his steps, he can walk quickly and then run. This is the same as the trilogy of practicing characters, first practicing kai, then practicing xing; and practicing grass three times. Successive generations of calligraphers have unanimously advocated that only by practicing the script well and having a solid foundation, it will be easy to write lines and grass again. Only by practicing the script and writing the words can the pen not be floaty and slippery, and the body is not fragmented.

5. How long does it take to learn the script first?

A: As long as you choose a good post, keep writing two pages a day, and persevere, you can achieve results in two months. As for the method of practicing writing, it is still to first describe, then copy, and then compare to find gaps. For difficult words, they should be written down separately and specially broken.

When you practice effectively, you will naturally become interested: the more you write, the more you love to write, and the more you watch, the happier you are! This is where your success begins.

6. I am used to writing lines, can I practice calligraphy again?

A: No problem, it's fast. Because you have a certain impression of the structure of the glyph, there is also a certain foundation in writing, the fingers and wrists have a certain quality, as long as the method is changed, correct your original posture of holding the pen and the pen, according to the basic system of the letter, insist on practicing, then, in half a year can be effective.

7. If you want to write each word well, what should you focus on?

Answer: The first thing is to master the pen force, which means that the stroke that should be used hard should be forced; the stroke that should not be forced should be lightly transitioned. For example, writing words such as national, red, true, and steel, if the weight is clearly distinguished, it will look beautiful.

Generally speaking, writing strokes such as ", , ( 捺) " and other strokes apply the force of the pen, and the others are slightly lighter. But every stroke in a word can't be forced. For example, the apostrophe that writes words such as "man, big, and heaven" should be light, and the stroke should be heavy. On the contrary, it is possible to write a light painting and a light painting, in short, it cannot be used equally.

8, some people say that the basic strokes are good to practice, and the structure of the frame is difficult to write, is this true?

A: It seems to be difficult to say, but in fact, as long as you find the right way, the way is right, it is very easy.

For example, after you first practice the basic strokes, you have the basic skills. The method of finding the right way and the opposite way refers to the structural distinction between a single character and a composite word. If it is a single character, it is necessary to grasp the center and center of gravity of the word. For example, the words "up, down, thousand, ten" and so on are all single characters, which requires mastering its center of gravity: the horizontal painting is slightly longer, the vertical painting is slightly shorter, and the vertical painting must be centered down (italics). If it is a composite word, it is necessary to distinguish whether it is a left-right structure; or an upper-middle-right structure; whether it is a left-middle-right structure, or an upper-middle-down structure, a half-package structure, or an all-inclusive structure.

Figure out these six differences, and then grasp them according to the definition of words and the rules of organization. In this way, you can write a perfect and beautiful glyph. For example: "good" and "ma" belong to the left and right structure; "lucky" and "element" belong to the upper and lower structures; "constant" and "palm" belong to the upper, middle, and lower structures; "craftsman" and "medicine" belong to the half-package structure; it is easy to distinguish these different structural definitions.

For example: the upper and lower verticals of the word lucky and vegetarian, pay attention to the center alignment; the word Chang palm is a long posture, don't write too long, slightly tightened; the word good mother is a left and right structure, the left side is slightly smaller, the right side is slightly larger, as long as the master is well dense, jagged and orderly, isn't it good to see? On the contrary, it is not divided into glyphs, dense and improper, one wide and one narrow, and the lines are light and heavy, which is ugly.

9, some people say that if you want to write a good pen word, you must first practice the brush word, is this right?

A: No. Practice has proved that it takes more detours. Why? The reason is very clear: because the structural rules of Chinese characters are exactly the same, but the glyph size writing instruments and techniques are different, the two first learn which one.

Inheriting and copying the works of the ancients should strive to resemble shapes and gods, but we must not abandon our personal style.

Some people are too mysterious about how to write well, and some people say that writing well is innate.... In fact, it doesn't take ten or twenty years to write brush or pen. To put it bluntly, I have only been practicing brush writing for two years. When I showed a calligraphy editor the characters I had written two years later, the first comment I got was: "Your words have at least ten years of effort." The editor asked me, "Who have you learned from?" I said, "I haven't learned from anyone." Three months later, the letter i wrote was selected for publication in a magazine.

Some people advocate that to write a good pen word, you must first practice the brush character, which is actually unnecessary, because you cannot master two pen strokes at the same time in a short period of time.

10. How to arrange the size of the glyph?

Answer: Chinese characters are large and small, with different shapes, whether with a brush or a pen, the size of the writing cannot be exactly the same, we call it "jagged and orderly". Specific requirements: the writing of more strokes is slightly contracted, and the writing thickness of less strokes is slightly diffused. Write in a symmetrical manner, and don't arrange the pieces regardless of size. For example: the word "Teng" is the same as the word "small"; the word "mouth" is the same as the word "country"; and the word "gong" is the same as the word "qian".

11, writing pays attention to echo, what does this mean?

A: If you want to write vividly and lively, you must pay attention to the flow of lines and the echo of gestures. The strokes echo each other, and the beginning and end of the sentences also pay attention to the echo, which is written in order to avoid mechanical and stacking phenomena. We often refer to the "broken pen and intentional connection", so that the momentum between the dot paintings has a coherence, this momentum is like a toddler reaching out to call out to the mother, the mother reaching out to pick up the child's movement. In the "Book Raft", it is said: The beginning of the pen is the call, and the end of the pen is the inheritance. On the contrary, if you write a stroke and then consider the next stroke, interrupting the potential energy between the pens, that is what the "Continuation Book Notation" criticizes: "The figure writes its shape, the end can contain tolerance, it is fragmented and inconsistent, and the result is mostly beads, and the glyphs certainly cannot live."

Therefore, to make the writing vivid and lively, interesting and seductive, echoing the two words can not be ignored.

12. It is said that horizontal and vertical have a principled way of writing, is this true?

A: Yes, this is what the contemporary calligrapher Deng Sanmu said, and Elder Deng made sense. Write "horizontal" to be slightly oblique, low on the left and high on the right, and its slope is about 5-7 degrees. Do not go below 5 degrees. Do not go above 7 degrees. This is because the vision of the two eyes of the person is not balanced, if the "horizontal" painting is written as straight, then, due to the illusion of the two eyes, it seems that the end of the right end seems to fall, which is very unnatural.

The "vertical" painting of Chinese characters is more important and plays a role as a pillar in a word. Yu Shinan said in the "Explanation of the Pen Essay" (quoting Wang Xi's words): "For the sake of the crossbow, you will fight and be heroic." "Therefore, writing vertical paintings should be strong and powerful. Such as Zhong, Niu, Qian, Mountain and other words.

13. What kind of paper is good for practicing words? What should I be aware of?

Answer: It is better to use a square book, because it has a certain square, and there are certain constraints on the specification of the glyphs you practice writing. When practicing writing, it is necessary to follow the line order, and after each page is written, it is necessary to analyze it to see where the gap is. After each book is written, it should also be retained to identify and contrast, and to measure the degree of progress. When practicing writing, you must not write one in the east and two in the west, so that the practice will affect your mastery of the chapter and layout.

Practice writing in order, one can practice the chapter, the other can arrange the entire layout, and it will help you develop the good habit of writing a good line order. If you scribble a pass, then when you are writing formally, although the glyph itself is still well written, the layout of the whole article is definitely irregular, which is a big thing.

14. Does writing have a relationship between speed and slowness?

A: It's a big deal. Writing has a great relationship on the speed of the line, the beauty of the glyphs, the charm of the lines, most of which are reflected in the fast strokes. The coherent gestures that echo are also reflected in the rapid strokes. Words written in slow strokes have no charm.
