From 1950 to 1952, the Institute of Archaeology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences carried out zonal excavations in hui county, Henan, in the northern Henan region, and found a large number of warring states period tombs, including the Warring States Tomb of Anyang Huangzhang Site, the Anyang Zhanghegu Cemetery, the Liulige Cemetery, the Shanbiao Town Cemetery, the Chuqiu Cemetery and the Zhao Gu Cemetery, which left many marks of people's lives at that time.

Most of the tomb owners in these tombs are buried on their backs and straight limbs, and a few are buried on their backs, indicating the meaning of submission, which is the wife of the male tomb owner; this time is mostly buried with men and women in the same cave, and there are fewer burials in the same cave; the same cave burial, as the name implies, is that the husband and wife are buried in the same tomb; and the joint burial means that there is still a wall between the husband and wife tombs, or the same ear chamber is shared; and the construction of the joint cave tombs costs more processes; which is probably related to the turbulent and socially turbulent living conditions of the Warring States period People didn't have much energy to build tombs when it came to funerary burials.

The burial items unearthed in the tomb mainly include more than 20 categories of burial items, such as ding, beans, pots, plates, turns, flats, bowls, jian, halos, bird pillar plates, barrels, pots, helmets, kettles, bowls, etc.; they are all utensils commonly used in the life of people in the Central Plains during the Warring States period; among them, "za" is a kind of water container, the plane is rounded and nearly square, the round bottom, the end of the handle has a bird-shaped decoration, the bird's beak is a ring, easy to hang, similar to the current use of the scoop; "bean" refers to the utensils containing meat or other food, shaped like a tall plate The excavated beans are divided into two kinds: covered and uncovered; "Jian" a ceremonial vessel of the Warring States period; flat bottom, the outer side of the upper abdomen has round ears, folded edges, narrow mouth edges, square lips, and deep abdomen.

Among these excavated cultural relics, there is a container that appears in many tombs, which has attracted the attention of experts in particular, that is, "tall foot small pot".

The pot is one of the common burial items in the Warring States tombs, the number of excavations is relatively large, there are lids, imitation copper pot shape system; according to the difference in the bottom shape system can be divided into flat bottom, circle foot type; small pot and pot shape system, but the volume is relatively small; and the high foot pot high foot pot shape system is close to the pot, but the shape of the instrument is small, there are fungal lids, drum belly or micro drooping, neck micro bundle, under the hollow trumpet shaped circle foot, or solid trumpet-shaped dish seat.

In addition, many high-footed small pots have been excavated in the Warring States cemetery area of the Huangzhang site in Anyang, and in addition, they have also been found in the Chuqiu and Zhao Gu tomb areas; after the dynasty, these remains belong to the middle and late Warring States period; however, in the later archaeological process, this "high-footed small pot" also appeared many times in the Warring States cemeteries in Handan, Xingtai and other areas in Hebei Province; the number of excavations is large, and the types are more diverse, but this kind of tall-footed small pot is rarely found in tombs in other areas; this shows that it belongs to the culture of Hebei Henan in the Warring States period; in addition, northern Henan and Handan, The tombs in the Xingtai area show a considerable degree of similarity, but also have their own characteristics; this shows that during the Warring States period, there were many cultural exchanges between the two places.

Experts further explain that the northern Henan region belongs to the border of the State of Wei; not far from the Handan region of the State of Zhao, the territory of this area changes frequently, sometimes belonging to the State of Wei and sometimes belonging to the State of Zhao; for example, the southern border city of the State of Zhao during the Warring States period, "Zhongmuyi"; according to the "Water Classic, Canal Water Notes", "from wei to the great beam, Zhao to Zhongmu Yiwei ..." It can be seen that in the late Warring States period, Zhongmuyi also belonged to Wei.

Through archaeological research, experts have also seen a scene that has not been recorded in the history books: in many tombs in northern Henan, similar artifacts have been found to be similar to those in the tombs of the Zhao State; this shows that the Anyang area near Handan in northern Henan belongs to the south bank of the Zhanghe River; it may belong to Wei most of the time geographically; but its cultural factors are more deeply influenced by Zhao culture.
