Yang Dai's philosophy of life: The real value of human beings lies in this

The spiritual conscience of human nature also transcends the conscience instincts of other animals.

Human beings are remarkable, born of all things, the most spiritual of human beings, and have created human civilization. Beasts are not created, they can only be used as specimens in museums. The spirit of all things, indeed, is the spirit of all things.

Man has created human civilization and confirmed that man is the spirit of all things, but the end cannot be reversed: man does not call himself the spirit of all things because he created human civilization; man's preciousness does not lie in the civilization created by man.

Human civilization is only part of the achievements of mankind, and there are still many uncultured human beings. How can a person without culture create culture? But they don't become beasts of the world rather than spirits of all things!

Born with all things, man is the spirit of all things. Man's preciousness lies in man himself, not in the civilization he created, and the civilization of mankind certainly has its value, and its value is still very high, but it is by no means the goal of heaven and earth.

There are four reasons for this:

If man was born in heaven and earth for the sake of human civilization, then human civilization should be eternal and indestructible.

But can human civilization last? For example, the civilization of ancient Egypt, the civilization of ancient Greece, the civilization of Babylon, the civilization of the Great Eater, the civilization of the Maya, and so on, did not all rise and fall, and died from decline?

Second, if man was born in heaven and earth for the sake of human civilization, then human civilization should be beneficial to the development and survival of mankind.

Indeed, all sectors of society, such as medical scientists, economists, jurists, sociologists, agriculturalists, architects and literary artists, as well as the leaders of various countries, have done their utmost to serve the welfare of the people.

However, civilized society requires economic development, production growth, and consumption growth, so the number of factories increases, nature is polluted, and the ecology of nature is destroyed.

Water sources are polluted, groundwater is drying up, the ozone layer has cracked, Arctic icebergs are melting rapidly, seawater is rising, land is sinking, and many species are on the verge of extinction.

The number of diseases in the human world is increasing, and the germs that resist drugs are becoming more and more tenacious. The land is full of wars, and the human world is still playing with fire, diligently developing weapons that are more vicious in lethality, and discussing various means of cold war and hot war.

The human text is very clear and considerable. Man can build a spaceship, rush out of space, and land on the moon. I was able to walk in space.

Being able to explore where there might be water on a neighboring planet and where there might be air, it seemed as if it was ready to compete for territory on a neighboring planet. Our dilapidated earth is about to be scrapped, right?

Third, if man is born in heaven and earth, and the purpose is human civilization, then people born of heaven and earth should not be so ignorant and uncivilized.

Although it is the spirit of all things, it is helpless, taking care of one or the other, and most people are still drunk and dreaming of death, or insensitive. We can only see that the universe is infinitely large, and we are so small, and life is so short.

For thousands of years, which philosopher answered the truth that the world seeks? Thousands of years have passed, and people with spirituality and conscience are still exploring the true meaning of life and the standard of human beings.

Socrates, who was born seeking wisdom, knew only that he knew nothing.

Confucius, the cousin of our master of all worlds, said: "It is possible to hear the Tao and die at night" (Li Ren No. 4), and he is anxious to understand what the "Tao" is, "I taste all day without eating, all night without sleep, thinking, useless, it is better to learn." ”

"University" is Zengzi's paraphrase of Confucius's words. Talked about how to teach and what to learn. "The way of the university is in Mingmingde, in the people, and in the ultimate good."

I consulted the commentaries of the Song dynasty theorists and tried to explain, according to my own opinion, the following explanation: To teach adults is to ask them to "ming'mingde"—"ming" is to understand, and "mingde" is to act according to heavenly reason and for man."

To be close to the people" is to remove the pollution of the old times, "to be close to the people" is to "push themselves and others"; "to stop at the highest good" is to pursue perfection in themselves and achieve the state of the highest good.

"Zhongyong" is Zi Si's paraphrasing of his grandfather Confucius. The first paragraph of the opening paragraph says: "The destiny of heaven is sex, and the willfulness is the tao." ...... He who is also the Tao, do not depart from it. ”

I have referred to the commentary, and according to my own opinion, I have explained it as follows: "Man is born by nature; and to act according to his spiritual conscience is the way to go." ...... One should always follow one's spiritual conscience. ”

This is China's "Confucian way". Philosophers of all schools in the West have their "ways." Each religious sect has its own "Word." Exactly what the "Tao" is, the intellectual and cultural circles have not received a unified consensus.

The classic books we read are all works that have been eliminated by time, and we have inherited the wisdom accumulated over thousands of years, and how much wisdom has we grown? For thousands of years, people with a spiritual conscience have been exploring the truth of life and the principles of being human.

Thousands of years have passed, has the world changed? Have you improved?

The old proverb: "Straight as a string, dead side; curved like a hook, anti-feudal marquis." "How different is it now?

Modern books, a vast sea of smoke, and ancient books can not be compared. Modern culture is much more common than in ancient times, and the study of various professions is far superior to that of the ancients; but how much has the understanding of truth broken through?

How many ancient and rare cultural relics and arts and crafts have surpassed in today's world?

Fourth, we look back at how cruel the most praised human miracle of human civilization is.

Qin Shi Huang was a young man who became king at the age of thirteen, and twenty-six years later, he annexed the world and unified China, proclaiming himself the First Emperor. Thirty-four years after his reign, in order to defend against the Xiongnu, the general Meng Tian was ordered to drive those who had made mistakes at that time to build the Great Wall.

According to legend, Meng Jiangnu's father-in-law was arrested to build the Great Wall and never returned. Meng Jiang's daughter looked for her husband and cried bitterly under the Great Wall, crying so much that the Great Wall collapsed into a corner, and her husband's body was impressively pressed under the Great Wall.

At that time, the folk song: "Be cautious not to lift the male, give birth to the female to feed the breast, do not see under the Great Wall, and the corpses are supported." The "Thousand Character Text" compiled by Zhou Xingsi of Southern Liang refers to the Great Wall as "Purple Plug".

According to Sun Qianyi's notes (Shanghai Ancient Books Publishing House, 1995), "Purple Sai" is the Great Wall.

Qin Shi Huang built the Great Wall, from Lintao in the west to Korea in the east, its length is thousands of miles, and the earth color is purple, so it is called "Purple Plug".

The annotations, though simple, are illustrative. I have studied the "Purple Plug" out of the canon, only to know that the soil under the Great Wall is purple, and it is said that there are purple flowers under the Great Wall.

The color of the soil varies from place to place on the mainland, including yellow land, red land, black soil and so on. Under the Great Wall, which is tens of thousands of miles long, the soil is purple.

Why? Did the people who built the Great Wall survive? All of them died under the city. "Corpses and bones are supported", are not all rotten under the city?

The flesh and blood of the common people were mixed with the dirt, and it was exactly purple. The flowers in this kind of soil are purple, which is really a flower of blood and tears.

The emperor enslaved the people and created a miracle of civilization on earth. Poor people all over the country for many years, thousands of ordinary people, hard labor, sacrificing their lives, caused the miracle of human civilization.

Weren't the pyramids of Egypt also caused by the enslavement of millions and thousands of people by the emperor?

The founders of successive civilizations around the world are all generations of natural pride, all of whom have conquered the south and the north, founded their own imperial dynasties, and established a civilization of dynasties and dynasties.

The elites of all dynasties have made valuable contributions to the civilization of their own dynasties, but the soldiers who fought for them, the people they conquered, and the ordinary people who were exploited by them were only victims.

Can heaven and earth give birth to mankind for the sake of human civilization? Although human civilization has its value, can it be said with certainty from the above reasons that human civilization, although valuable, is not the purpose of heaven and earth to give birth to man.

Born with all things, man is the spirit of all things. The purpose of the heavens and the earth to give birth to man should be a person who can be called the spirit of all things. Although people are small, although life is short, but people can learn, people can cultivate themselves, people can improve themselves, and people's value lies in people themselves.
