2. Palliative surgery
If the patient's tumor has a wide range and has metastasized, radical surgery is not suitable at this time. To alleviate the patient's suffering, maintain vitality and nutrition, patients can undergo palliative surgery. That is to say, only part of the malignancy is removed, or some surgery to alleviate symptoms is done.
From the above content, it is not difficult to see that surgery is the most important treatment method in the early stage of cancer. If the patient still has the opportunity to operate after the examination, this is undoubtedly the luckiest.
Even patients who enter the advanced stage and cannot achieve clinical cure can undergo tumor reduction or other surgery if physical conditions permit. The quality of postoperative quality of life and survival of patients treated by treatment are significantly higher than those of patients who do not undergo treatment.
However, it should be emphasized here that surgery is not a panacea, because it only removes the cancer foci, and there may be potential or metastatic cancer cells and small cancer foci inside the patient's body.
