Hovercraft have been around since the 1950s when motorists wanted to hover over the beach and above the water, but no formed hovercraft has ever been introduced. Now such cars have really appeared.

("Arosa" concept car)
The Daily Mail reported on February 18 that a luxury sports hovercraft that claims to be the world's first will be listed for $100,000.
It may not be as fast as a supercar, with a top speed of about 60 mph (about 96 km/h), but it is currently the fastest amphibious vehicle in the world, called the Arosa.
Unlike Ferrari, McLaren or Bugatti, this exciting new amphibious sports car generates an air cushion 7 inches (about 18 cm) above the ground, allowing the driver to gallop on water, which also gives the term sports car a new meaning.
"Arosa" was designed by von Messier, the company named after the founder of the American engineer von Messier, which is said to be a hovercraft that "combines the technology of cutting-edge hovercraft and electric vehicles".
It has an open cockpit lined with double seats like a fighter jet, and a digital dashboard.
The car is also equipped with an all-electric system, which has a gasoline engine that powers the three electric motors, while there is a buffer battery capable of storing electricity to shorten the time from starting the vehicle to top speed.
It looks like it has huge wheels, but in reality these "hubs" are just rotors of the fan ducts. Von Messier said it was just part of a system that would make arosa "the easiest personal hovercraft in the world to maneuver."
In the past, hovercraft were often criticized for being uncontrollable, but the advanced directional control system of the Arosa ensured superior maneuverability. This makes it easy for drivers to stop, turn, reverse and move forward.
The Arosa also has a boat-like side deck so that more people can ride this hovercraft.
von Messier produced the first 50 Arosas and hopes to go on sale before the summer of this year.
So far, about 180 customers have expressed their willingness to buy "Arosa". Although it starts at $100,000, manufacturing costs could rise if customers ask for custom paint, fabrics, or entertainment equipment.
Since this hovercraft is classified as a ship, it cannot be driven legally on the road. However, the company believes that the invention is more about attracting the attention of yacht owners, and the audience is very certain, so there is no need to worry too much about sales.
The company wrote on its website: "von Messier combined innovations in cutting-edge hovercraft and electric vehicles with luxurious, high-performance technology, and the result was the birth of the world's first luxury sports hovercraft."
von Messier added: "The Arosa Sport Hovercraft is an amphibious vehicle that can travel between land, water and various other terrains. Its air cushion-forming device is housed within a reinforced fiber structure, which helps adapt to changes in terrain and is able to be cushioned when obstacles are encountered. ”
