However, in the process of retreating, a large number of Vietnamese troops had already been ambushed at the commanding heights on both sides, and they were in the dark of night, and many Vietnamese troops took the opportunity to blend into our army. In the darkness of the night, it was difficult to distinguish between the enemy and the enemy, and the ranks of our army once again fell into passivity.
At this critical moment, from time to time, the enemy threw grenades, and the soldiers of our army fell in a pool of blood, and the Vietnamese army, in order to create chaos in our army, roared in the ranks: "We are surrounded."
In times of anxiety, a rapid breakthrough of the troops became a top priority. Li Qinghai took the sharp knife squad and wang Xianzhong, the deputy instructor, was responsible for covering the troops and the commanders to quickly break away from the encirclement.
After many battles, some of the commanders and teams had jumped out of the enemy's encirclement, but the problem came, and the deputy division commander who was checking the march in the marching team did not return from time to time.

When the chiefs broke away from the siege, Li Qinghai found that the instructors and fighters did not follow, and he immediately led the remaining fighters back to help the instructors, but when he arrived, the instructors and other fighters were already hanging up, and the instructors were seriously injured in the head, Li Qinghai bandaged the instructors while commanding the fighters to be ready for battle at any time.
Everything was ready, and just as they were preparing to break through, the enemy's grenade fell beside them, and at the critical moment, Li Qinghai shouted to the soldiers: "Dodge me." As soon as the words fell, Li Qinghai jumped forward, pushed away the fighters around him, and threw himself on the grenade, only to hear a loud noise, several comrades-in-arms were hurt in the slightest, but when the comrades-in-arms returned to God, Li Qinghai also lay in a pool of blood, and his life was in danger!
The comrades-in-arms quickly gathered next to Li Qinghai, but at this time, his flesh and blood were blurred, and a soldier slowly lifted him up, and he said to the soldiers in a weak voice: "You must continue to fight, don't feel sorry for me, please give my dagger and pistol to me... The party..."
As soon as the words fell, 32-year-old Li Qinghai came to the end of his life. The remaining comrades buried him hastily and took his instructions to pursue the army. After the comrades returned, they told his superiors about his instructions, and his pistol and dagger were later preserved in the Chinese Military Museum.
Although Li Qinghai is still honored in his death, he saved his comrades-in-arms with his life, and his fearless spirit is the spiritual pillar of each and every one of us.
