Shi Tian was born in Beijing on October 17, 1948, and later went to Hong Kong to develop. In 1968, he graduated from the Shaw Brothers Actor Training Institute, specializing in film technology and acting. After graduation, he worked as an actor at Shaw's. During this period, he starred in films such as "Peach Plum Spring Wind", "Northland Rouge", "Angry Youth" and so on.
After 1973, he began to shoot in Jiahe, Xu,Longbow and other film companies. In 1978, he participated in two early representative works of kung fu superstar Jackie Chan, "Snake-shaped Executioner" and "Drunken Fist". These two films not only made Jackie Chan gradually popular, but also made Shi Tian, who is a supporting role, attract much attention. Later, Shi Tian, Together with Mai Jia and Huang Baiming, formed the Struggle Film Company, and later pulled Shi Nansheng, Xu Ke and his wife, as well as Zeng Zhiwei and Teddy Robin together, to form New Art City Pictures.

Most of the films in New Art City are created by the seven monsters, some are responsible for the front of the stage, some are responsible for the backstage, in short, everyone works together. And the most important thing for Shi Tian during this period was to be the producer of the entire "Best Partner" series. Not only that, in the films produced by New Art City Pictures, such as "Hitchhiking", "Ghost of a Lady", "Happy Ghost", "Funny Times", "Hero Nature" and so on, Shi Tian participated in the production process of these films, whether in front of the stage or behind the scenes.
It is worth mentioning that many of these works are starred or participated in by Zhang Guorong, and his brother Zhang Guorong has gradually risen in the film industry after shooting a series of films produced by New Art City, and Shi Tian, as the majority shareholder of New Art City, can be said to be the person who praised Zhang Guorong that year.
In the early 1990s, New Art City Pictures disbanded. As major shareholders, Mai Jia and Shi Tian are not too much nostalgic in the entertainment industry and resolutely quit the entertainment circle. After withdrawing from the entertainment industry, Shi Tian mainly invested in some real estate, and the business was once very large, but it suffered serious losses during the Asian financial crisis, but it did not hurt the bones.
Today, Shi Tian enjoys the joy of life at home, although he is very old, he still does not forget his three major hobbies, namely cigars, golf and coffee, and his life is very comfortable.
