Hui Haiping's "Ice Pier Snow Rongrong" paper-cut work uses the traditional paper-cutting line connection technique to partially exaggerate, which greatly maintains the cartoon image of "Ice Pier Snow Rongrong" while integrating into the traditional folk culture of Huazhou District. There are "Beijing", "Winter Olympics", "Snowflakes" and other Winter Olympic elements in the works, as well as folk elements such as "2022 Year of the Tiger" and "Plum Blossom Five Blessings", the whole work not only presents the cuteness of "ice pier snow melting", but also is full of the strong local atmosphere of Huazhou traditional culture, implying the author's good wishes for the prosperity of the motherland.
It is understood that Hui Haiping has been deeply influenced by his grandmother since childhood, and after years of paper-cutting creation practice, his works have both profound folk cultural heritage and the artistry of modern craft paper-cutting, which is deeply loved by all walks of life.
