To say that Tesla's steering wheel is strange, it is not particularly strange, at least we can imagine, it seems not too brainy. To say that the steering wheel of the brain hole is strange, the following are.

Citroen Karin (1980)

Although it is not mass-produced, it has been talked about as a classic concept model in the history of Lamborghini.
The steering wheel is also single-frame like the Citroën DS, considering that the turn signals, wipers, horns and other buttons are nowhere to be placed, so there is also a dangling button integration on the left. In fact, the Italian brain hole is not worse than the French, Maserati also had a concept car 50 years ago, because it looks like a flying machine, so it is named Boomerang. At that time, the avant-garde design of this car was very impressive, and it is estimated that lamborghini's Athon design was also affected by it, but unfortunately it was not mass-produced.
More interesting than the exterior is the steering wheel, which still looks very futuristic. The periphery is the steering wheel grip, while all the instruments, buttons, etc. of the center console are placed in the middle and do not rotate with the steering wheel. This is both clear and operationally feasible. I don't know if Sega's central steering wheel design inspiration also came from here.
5. Lancia Sibilo (1978)

There is no hollowing, some buttons in the middle, and the outer ring is a rotatable disc. But since it is a concept car, the brain hole may be a little wider, and the outer circle may be touch-controlled, right? 6. Ozmobil Incas (1986)
OzMobil is less heard of, in fact, it is the oldest brand in the American car industry, born in 1897, and later merged into General Motors, until 2000 was announced to be discontinued. The Incas body is very rounded and smooth, although it is a product of 1986, but it is very suitable for the mainstream aesthetic now, which is where the designer's bull nose lies.
Its steering wheel is very exaggerated, composed of left and right grab handles, and set up a lot of functional buttons. There is also an LCD dashboard in front that displays various data, so driving a car feels like driving a fighter jet. There are also a lot of strange steering wheel designs, and Man Ge will not exhaust them all. Although most of these steering wheels exist in the concept stage, it is undeniable that these advanced concepts can provide inspiration for later technological innovations. Unfortunately, looking for the steering wheel of domestic cars, I did not find a very stunning concept design, and it seems that it is still not bold enough in innovation.
