RTX 4060/4070/4080 Exposure: 5nm process qualitative change across the series

The lineup of RTX 30 series graphics cards has been basically complete, and I believe that the next generation of RTX graphics cards should already be on the agenda within NVIDIA.

Breaking news star Greymon55 shared that the GPU chip of the RTX 40 series graphics card has been basically confirmed, and the corresponding relationship is as follows:

AD102 Core: RTX 4080-90 Series, 5nm

AD103 Core: RTX 4070 Series, 5nm

AD104 Core: RTX 4070 Series; 5nm

AD106 Core: RTX 4060 Series, 5nm

Where AD is the abbreviation of Ada Lovelace, a female scientist, corresponding to the RTX 40 series graphics card GPU architecture codename.

It can be seen that the mainstream to high-end RTX 40 series graphics cards all use 5nm process, compared with Samsung 8nm, which can be described as a qualitative upgrade.

However, the same RTX 4070, there are AD103 and AD104 sets of cores, one may be said to be mobile and desktop, and the other may be said to be RTX 4070 and RTX 4070 Ti.

In terms of performance, the same whistleblower said that the AD102 core has a performance of about 66.5T at FP32 at 1.8GHz, and a single precision floating point at 2.5GHz can be touched to 90T, and it should be known that the official announcement of the RTX 3090 Ti that has not yet been released is only 40T.
