E disassembly: Sony's entry-level TWS headphones have a simple internal structure, and there are many domestic manufacturers

When it comes to headphones, Sony must have a seat. But good quality, the price is also high. In 20 years Sony introduced an entry-level true wireless headset, the WF-C500. Today we're going to disassemble it.

Although it is entry-level, it is also priced at nearly 500 yuan. Bluetooth 5.0, 5.8mm dynamic unit, IPX4 protection class, support single ear use. Adopt in-ear design, physical key operation. The battery life is very powerful, a single time can have 10 hours of endurance, the total endurance of 20 hours.

When starting at the beginning, I found that there are many evaluations that complain about the serious bottom noise, so let's take a look at the internal structure and find the reason for the serious bottom noise.

dismantle:

Remove the earbuds before disassembling them, and you can see that the headphone dust mesh is on the internal dynamic. Pry open the headphones along the clamping line, and attach a foam ring to the microphone hole inside the rear case, and the plastic indicator light guide column on the left. The black plastic cover in the middle is a button buffer structure, and when removed, you can see the Bluetooth antenna, which is connected to the metal contact through the bare copper at one end

A black sticker is attached to the LED light position on the motherboard to prevent light leakage. The motherboard and battery are secured by screws and snaps. The dynamic unit is glued and welded to the motherboard by wires. There is a white foam patch on the bottom of the front shell and a circular magnet underneath for fixing the charging case for charging.

summary

In general, the headphones are relatively simple to disassemble and do not use too much glue or screw fixing. The glue is mostly double-sided, with only a few traces of adhesive around the moving coil unit. The coin cell battery of the headset is soldered directly on the motherboard, and the Bluetooth antenna is an FPC antenna. The charging case is screwed, unlike most headphone charging cases.
