Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat-trick against Luxembourg, breaking the world record again.

Portugal lost 5-0 in World Cup qualifiers, with the Portuguese captain becoming the all-time front-runner in 10 hat-tricks for the men's national team.

After Bernardo Silva was fouled, the United striker opened the record for the national team with a penalty.

Ronaldo then scored his second goal, still in place, but this time he was the one who was fouled inside the box. Due to the erosion, he had to re-make the first attempt, but the second attempt went wrong.

Bruno Fernandes rewrote the score to 3-0 before halftime before Joao Palhinha scored his fourth goal in the second half.
