Ronaldo's full name is Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro, abbreviated as Ronaldo. He was born on 5 February 1985 in Funchal, Madeira, Portugal. A Portuguese professional footballer, he plays as a winger/centre forward and currently plays for Riyadh Victory FC in the Saudi Arabian Premier League.
Ronaldo joined Madeira Nacional in 1995 and joined Sporting Portugal's youth system in 1996. In 2001, he played at Sporting de Portugal in 5 different divisions at the U16, Under-17, U18 second and first team competitions.
In 2003, Ronaldo moved to Manchester United Football Club, where he helped the team win 10 honours including the 2007–08 UEFA Champions League title, and won the 2006–07 English Premier League Player of the Year, the 2008 Ballon d'Or, the International Federation of Professional Footballers' Federation Player of the Year, Premier League Player of the Year, Premier League Golden Boot and other awards.
In 2009, Ronaldo moved to Real Madrid, where he helped the team win 16 honours, including four UEFA Champions League titles in 2013-14, 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-18. Individuals have also won the Golden Globe 4 times. In 2018, Ronaldo moved to Serie A club Juventus and won the Italian Serie A title in 2018-19 and 2019-20.
In 2021, Ronaldo returned to Manchester United and in 2022 moved to Riyadh Victory Football Club. In 2003, Ronaldo participated in the Toothpick Cup with the Portuguese national youth team and eventually won the title. In 2016, he made his Portugal men's national football team debut in a friendly against Kazakhstan. In June 2019, he won his first UEFA Nations League title with the Portuguese national team.
