"The Winter Olympic Village is the largest non-competition venue and home to athletes during the games. Since it is called home, there is no reason to close, and the Winter Olympic Village provides services for athletes and accompanying officers 24 hours a day. Shen Qianfan said that the Beijing Winter Olympic Games have always adhered to the athlete-centered approach from bidding, preparation and holding. In order to create a first-class living environment for athletes, careful arrangements and designs have been made in terms of apartment facilities, catering services, sports and leisure, etc., with one-stop commercial services to meet the diverse needs of athletes.

"In terms of athletes' catering, we strive to have a rich menu that is nutritious and delicious." Shen Qianfan said that the athlete meal is a very complex system, and the athlete menu is a sports nutrition expert from the Winter Olympic Organizing Committee and the International Olympic Committee, which took two years to negotiate and study, and finally formulated. "Athletes are more concerned about the nutritional content of the dish because they have to devote themselves to the sport, such as how many calories, how many grams of fat, what the allergens are."

Shen Qianfan said that during the Winter Olympics, which coincided with the Spring Festival of China, the Winter Olympic Village Athletes' Restaurant provided athletes with Chinese characteristics, which is also a very important supplement to the athletes' meals. Among them, Peking duck and dumplings are the most popular, with 80 roast ducks consumed at the noon peak one day. "After tasting, everyone uploaded relevant videos on their respective social platforms (accounts) and liked our service and Chinese delicacies."

Shen Qianfan said that the proportion of athletes from various countries and regions with specific tastes and unique needs is very small, and the Winter Olympic Village tries its best to meet their different needs with sincere and thoughtful services. However, due to the spatial factor, the food categories that can be provided are certainly limited. "In any case, first, we must meet the menu requirements approved by the IOC to ensure the supply of essential nutrients. Second, on this basis, we try our best to meet the requirements of different tastes in various countries and regions. ”

The schedule of this Winter Olympic Games has passed the halfway mark, many athletes have achieved good results in the competition, and some competitions have also created new Olympic records and world records. Zhao Weidong said that this aspect is closely related to the athletes' hard training and climbing the peak, as well as the careful guidance of the coaches, and also has a certain relationship with a series of conditions provided by the Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee. "We use the power of science and technology to continuously build high-quality competition venues, and in the process of venue construction, all staff carry forward the spirit of craftsmanship and strive for excellence in every detail." Athletes have frequently achieved good results in the National Speed Skating Hall these days, and the construction of the venue has played a certain role. ”

Zhao Weidong also revealed that the Organizing Committee of the Winter Olympics has established a complete set of medical security systems. The venue has a medical station, there is a designated hospital in the rear, between the medical station and the designated hospital, there are a variety of rapid transportation modes for transfer, to ensure that in the first time, in accordance with international rules and the requirements of the team doctor, the injured athletes in the game are timely and effectively handled. "All in all, we adhere to the 'athlete-centered' and have taken various measures in venue construction, medical security, epidemic prevention policies, and living security, and strive to build a safe, perfect, professional and fair competition stage for athletes, so that they can fully display their talents on the stage."
