The Winter Olympics programme runs from January 30 to February 19 for 21 days, with 506 athletes from 36 countries competing in the Genting Venues Group.

Wang Shitong introduced that these inspirations come from Shanhaiguan, which is not only beautiful, but also has the practical function of windproof.

In order to ensure that athletes can perform at their best on the track without distraction, while strictly implementing the general policy, the venue will try to provide athletes, media and stakeholders with more thoughtful and accurate services as much as possible. In the recent period of competition operation, the venue has continuously optimized the service plan, and carefully provided various guarantees such as catering, transportation, medical treatment, volunteers, and meteorology.

The weather forecast shows that there will be blizzard weather in Zhangjiakou in the past two days. "When it snows heavily, you must not wait, but go with the flow." Shu Wen, deputy director of logistics of genting stadium group, said that the venue is very experienced in this area and has a professional ice shoveling and snow removal team to ensure it. This year, on this basis, mechanical and manual ice and snow removal forces have been added to ensure that the event can be carried out smoothly.

"The reason to go with the flow is to prevent too much snow melting agent, and it is necessary to keep the field clean and tidy when playing." Shu Wen said that in some steep slopes or areas prone to icing, the venue will sprinkle some environmentally tested and environmentally certified snow melting agents. This snow melting agent is different from the previous salt, so it will not affect the road or the track.

For the Genting complex, the transition period from the Winter Olympics to the Winter Paralympic Games will start on February 20 and end on March 3, for a total of 12 days. During the Beijing Winter Paralympic Games from 3 to 12 March, the Genting venues will host Paralympic snowboarding competitions, including obstacle course chase and slope swing, and 102 Paralympic athletes are expected to compete, resulting in a total of eight gold medals.
