Yang Shilang (1915-2000) A native of Haining, Zhejiang. He is good at Chinese painting. Learning painting since childhood, in 1938, he studied Chinese painting and calligraphy in Shanghai under the famous Chinese painter He Tianjian of the Shanghai School, and in order to explore the authentic works of ancient people, he re-applied to Mr. Wu Hufan, a famous Chinese painter and collector connoisseur, and was a proud protégé and mantle shared by the two families. In the 1940s, he joined the Chinese Painting Society and held many solo exhibitions in Shanghai, Beijing, Tianjin, Nanjing and other places, and Qi Baishi and other previous generations of painters were unanimously optimistic about promising young painters. In 1952, he served as the art editor and photojournalist of Jiangxi Daily, boldly tried to sketch Chinese paintings, and in 1960, he participated in the exhibition of Chinese paintings in the Great Hall of the People. In 1973, he went to Jiangxi Provincial Institute of Arts and Crafts to specialize in Chinese painting, and was a consultant of Jiangxi Academy of Calligraphy and Painting.
