In 2015, after the success of Beijing's bid to host the Winter Olympic Games, Bao Vocational Institute responded to the call of the state and reformed the curriculum for the first time, turning the roller skating course into a roller skating and ice and snow project course, and established a roller skating ice and snow course training base at the Aoshan Ski Resort in Taibai County. At the same time, Yang Bo also actively carried out "rotating ice" and "rotating snow", and began to dabble in ice and snow sports, participating in snowboarding, freestyle skiing and other projects. With his talent and hard work, Yang Bo led the team to participate in the second Shaanxi Provincial Collegiate Ski Open in 2021, and won the third place in the team and the first place in the men's snowboard teacher group. In 2019, the State General Administration of Sport began to recruit referees for the Winter Olympics, and Yang Bo did not hesitate to sign up, when there were more than 800 referees who signed up, and only 50 people could be selected in the end. Since participating in the selection of referees for the Winter Olympic Games, Yang Bo has practiced hard, strengthened the intensity of training, and continuously improved his personal level, and after five rounds of screening, he was finally selected as he wished. "At the moment of being selected, I was particularly excited and finally fulfilled my dream of the Winter Olympics." Yang Bo said.

During the Beijing Winter Olympics, Yang Bo undertook the refereeing work of the slope obstacle course in Zhangjiakou Division, the slope obstacle course has the title of "extreme sports" on the snow, and the participants challenged their limits by showing jumping, flipping, turning and other gorgeous actions, the project is highly ornamental and extremely difficult. On February 7, youngster Su Yiming won the silver medal in the final of the men's slope obstacle course in the men's slope obstacle course of snowboarding, and won the silver medal with two difficult moves of 1800 degrees in front foot turn, creating the best result in the history of the Chinese team in the Winter Olympics in this event.
