Recently, the horse racing media Asia Horse Racing News, a horse racing media owned by mainland horse partner and internationally renowned industry media, recently conducted an exclusive interview with Eden Harrington, vice president of CHC Jasper Horse Main Club, and made a full-page report -

CHC Jasma Main Club once again emphasises its commitment to the Chinese market
Following earlier restructuring of its operational structure in a number of regions, CHC Master Club is now preparing to embark on a new year's ambitious plan to further promote Chinese mainland's horse racing and breeding business, with the new dedicated staff overseeing the organization's China business.
Under the leadership of founder and chairman Zhang Zude, the club has achieved outstanding achievements in Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the United States. Since 2014, they have won a total of 41 First Class races worldwide, and they also have a number of stallion or reserve stallion foals distributed around the world.
Colts that have set great results for the club include American Triple Crown winner Justice (patrilineal "Impromptu Daddy") and "Good Life" (Patrilineal "Naughty Ghost") who won the 2022 Pegasus World Cup (First Division, 1800m). In Australia, they also have at least five foals in 2021 playing in the first division.
Eden Harrington, vice president of CHC Jascular Owners Club, told Asia Racing News that they will next focus on multiple thoroughbred horses overseas, aiming to improve the quality of stallions Chinese mainland.
"We're going to increase our efforts in the region, especially in horse breeding," Harrington said, "last year, we bred foals that achieved quite good results in China, and hopefully this year we can go to the next level."
"Horse racing in China has a strong momentum, and we don't forget to take this into account when making decisions. We've been deeply interested in it since our inception, and that has never changed. We are confident that we can further improve the quality of breeding foal heirs competing in China. ”
The famous colt "Daredevil" (patrilineal "Ready") who won the first division was officially retired in 2016, and since then chC Jay Horse Master Club has been looking for a suitable mare to breed offspring for this breeding star. When the mare gets pregnant, it is sent to China, and the foals that are born are sold at auction.
"We received a very positive response. But more importantly, it shows that we are willing to break the mold and go our own way," Harrington continued, "and we have really benefited from the valuable experience of the stables run by kumo, Sangist, Goldolphin and others over the past three decades, coupled with their abundant resources in the search for pure-blood foals." Of course, we haven't developed to that scale yet, but being able to have elite stallions of good pedigree is important to the breeding career. ”
Currently, ch chC Jasper Owners Club has two breeding horses in China, both of which are bred in Europe by Kumo Stables. The first is the "big man of the north" who won the triple crown of China. This colt is from the world famous colt "Astronomer" (patrilineal "Saddlesmith Well"), which played a triumphant song in the horse racing events (3000 meters), the Xilinhot Cup (2000 meters) and the Finals of the Chinese Horse Association in 2014 and 2015 respectively. The other is the "High Climb" who wins with speed, and its father is the "Giant Causeway" (paternal "Storm Cat").

"[Gao Pan') made his first two-year-old appearance on the field last year, all showing incredible speed. So far, three two-year-old heirs have won the championship on the field, which has attracted the attention of many horse owners. Harrington said. The heirs of the 'Big Guys of the North' are only four years old this year, and I believe they will perform better when they are three or four years old. These stallions are given the opportunity to continue to play to their strengths. ”
In addition, chC Jasper Master Club also has a large number of channels to find stallions with good pedigree. Harrington believes that it is an indispensable and important area to further develop China's horse breeding industry.
"China also offers a great opportunity for these stallions to prepare for their breeding careers." Harrington said. "If their heirs don't stand out in the first one or two seasons, they might consider coming to China."
"It's a very interesting space to develop. It is also a major development goal of our development. We will do everything we can to make a positive impact in China. ”
To strengthen development in Chinese mainland, CHC Jascarp Owners Club is about to open a new role dedicated to overseeing the organisation's horse racing and breeding operations in the area, similar to its practice in Europe, the United States, Australia and New Zealand. On the U.S. side, the position is held by the new fabricio Buffalo.
"The person in this role will focus on the region and work closely with our partners to take advantage of these opportunities." Harrington said.
"I think China's development situation is quite ideal. They are restructuring and trying to follow the example of other mature regions. This process will inevitably be time-consuming. It is not expected that There will be any major changes in China's horse breeding business in the next 12 months, but they are indeed gradually improving. ”
