Carrasco: It's rare to play in Europe The experience of playing in the Chinese Super League has changed me

In the interview, Carrasco talked about the reasons for going to China and the situation when he returned to Atletico: "First of all, I want to make a change and see the outside world. Because people are spoiled in their comfort zone for a long time, even a stupid little thing will irritate you, and then you will no longer cherish everything you have. So I left Europe.

"China is a completely different place than here, and there are a lot of things to adapt and overcome. But the experience there made me a better person and more mature in life. When I came back, I realized how lucky it was to be able to play in a place you knew. I was very comfortable at the time and shouldn't be hot-headed for the slightest disappointment, because it was rare to play in Europe, especially in the big clubs in Europe.

"I came back to Atletico with plenty of fighting spirit and wanted to do everything I could to help the team. I have a 6 month loan period and it's stressful, after all there's only one chance you can't screw up. You have to prove that you also have the quality to play in the top flight. Because people will say, you played in China for two years, and we don't know what level you are now. But I was lucky not to have an audience during the pandemic, which helped me take a lot of stress out.

"After playing in the league in China, I had almost two months off. You know, training in the gym and playing against teammates on the pitch are two different things. It was hard work, but after two months I managed to keep up with the rhythm of the team. Then the epidemic started, everyone had to start from scratch, and I just kept training every day. The day I got back on the field, I was in very good shape. ”
