Triumph Super Electric Teemot-1 prototype was released

In March 2021, Triumph unveiled the mystery of its Super Electric Motorcycle TE-1 for the first time. A year later, this TE-1 has finally changed from a drawing to a real car and appeared in front of global riders.

As can be seen from the official video, the real car is almost a reproduction of the previous hand-drawn design drawings, and it is full of muscle. The video also shows us the configuration of the electric beast, including the frame and subframe, fairing components, wheels, drivetrain (transmission and Gates ribbon drive), electronics, Öhlins-USD-Cartridge forks and the new and unique Öhlins rear suspension, Brembo M4 single-system calipers and control software developed by Triumph. These accessories are built and supplied by Triumph.

Both the battery and the motor are protected by a newly developed aluminum frame, the motor is jointly supplied by Integral Powertrain, in the current configuration, the motor weighing only 10 kg has a maximum output power of 130 kW (equivalent to 180 hp), in addition to the energy recovery system and traction control are integrated in the control system.

The battery, in turn, is supplied by Williams, the company that tops formula E Technology, which is said to outperform all competitors in terms of performance and energy density, with 15kWh of energy storage delivering 170kW of peak output and 90kW of continuous output. The 360V car charging system located at the "fuel tank" supports fast charging, can charge the battery to 80% in 20 minutes, and the maximum cruising range is expected to reach 192km.

It is reported that the current development of te-1 has been basically completed. Triumph plans to test the actual vehicle over the next 6 months and hopes to calibrate the throttle response, optimize the performance mapping of the drivetrain, adjust the power and torque output, evaluate the range and battery consumption, develop the driving mode, verify the software functions and thermally optimize the drivetrain through a series of testing work, so that the Triumph TE-1 can not disappoint the riders.
