Electric Big Frog, Triumph released TE-1 electric motorcycle concept car

author:Car pulling

As the internal combustion engine gradually leaves us, everyone has formed a trend of motor fragrance, motorcycles are no exception, recently, Triumph Moto released the TE-1 electric motorcycle concept car. The TE-1 is a direct copy of the exterior design of the SPEED TRIPLE model, although there is no exhaust system, but the bare single rocker arm structure still looks wild, and the muscular basket empty frame also looks murderous.

The electrical part of the Triumph TE-1 concept was supplied by Williams Engineering in conjunction with Integral Powertrain, and the battery pack that fits perfectly into the frame is 170 kW peak, 90 kW continuous and 15 kWh of battery pack capacity. The electric motor allows the TE-1 electric motorcycle to have a peak power of 130 kilowatts and a continuous power output of 80 kilowatts, and claims to have a good endurance.

The TE-1's battery pack layout fits perfectly into the shape and space within the frame, keeping the vehicle's center of gravity low. At the same time, the metal shell of the battery pack integrates the vehicle's power motor and electronic control unit to achieve the balance between the most compact structure and lightweight.

The battery pack can be charged using the 360-volt system of current electric vehicles, and the charging capacity can reach 0-80% in 20 minutes. The cleverly designed charging port needs to lift the decorative cover at the rear of the fuel tank to charge, thus retaining the design of the fuel tank and making the line of the whole vehicle more low.

At present, triumph TE-1 has begun to enter the actual field testing phase, which is expected to be completed in the summer of 2022. The TE-1 concept will then be replaced with the final body trim for open road testing.

At that time, the TE-1 concept will also announce its final technical specifications and field test results, and the final launch time of the TE-1 project commercially available models will be announced.
