An Australian Coles consumer posted a post on Facebook,
The post shows that after opening a packet of spinach bought from Coles,
A large spider was found in it.

In appearance, this "uninvited guest" is a hunter spider.
Hunter spiders usually feed on insects and cockroaches,

But he warned other customers to be more careful when buying bagged salads.
"I recommend ignoring the 'washed and ready to eat' label on the packaging and being sure to wash and inspect these and similar products."
In response, a Coles spokesperson said "as always",
The supermarket "attaches great importance to the quality of all our products",
Customers who find this should contact them.
"We urge customers with complaints to contact our customer service team so we can follow up with their questions."
"As always, we encourage customers to bring any items they are not satisfied with to the nearest store for a full refund or exchange."
