On February 10 and 11, the men's and women's steel frame bobsleigh races will kick off at the National Bobsleigh Center "Snow Dragon". After the first and second rounds of the men's steel frame bobsleigh event, Yan Wengang and Yin Zheng ranked 3rd and 7th respectively.

In 1892, the Englishman Child used a new sled made mainly of metal, which was later officially named a steel-framed bobsleigh. In 1928, the steel frame snowmobile was listed as a winter Olympic event, and since then, because it is too thrilling, it has been disqualified from the Winter Olympic Games twice, and it was not until 2002 that it became an official event of the Winter Olympic Games again.
The track used in the steel frame bobsleigh race is the same as that of the bobsleigh and the bobsleigh, and shares a starting point with the bobsleigh. The track is 1200 to 1650 meters long, with a drop of between 100 and 150 meters. The main difference between a steel-framed bobsleigh and a bobsleigh race is that it slides head forward.
The Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics Steel Frame Bobsleigh Event will be held at the National Bobsleigh Center in Yanqing, producing a total of 2 gold medals for men's and women's singles. The Chinese team sent 2 men and 2 women to participate in the 4 athletes, of which the women's steel frame snowmobile competition will be China's debut in the Winter Olympics event.
In recent years, the Chinese team has repeatedly achieved good results in various events of steel frame snowmobiles. In the 2021-2022 season, the Chinese training team won a total of 8 European Championships, 2 Intercontinental Cups and 1 World Cup. Among them, the men's yin zheng participated in 6 matches of 2 European Championships and 1 intercontinental cup competition, winning 5 championships and 1 third place.
On February 9, a total of six rounds of pre-race training for the steel frame snowmobile project of the Beijing Winter Olympics came to an all-round end. The Chinese participants performed quite well, ranking at the top of the list of all the skaters on many occasions.
Chinese male yan Wengang participated in four of the six rounds of skating, ranking fourth, first, second and third respectively, while Yin Zheng participated in all six rounds of skating, ranking fifth, eighteenth, fifth, second, second, first and second respectively. In the 6-wheeled skating, Yan Wengang also created the best time for single-wheeled skating, with a time of 1 minute 00.36 seconds; Yin Zhengze created the maximum speed of single-wheel sliding, reaching 129.94 kilometers.
Zhao Dan, a Chinese women's athlete and flag bearer of the Chinese sports delegation at the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympics, and teammate Li Yuxi participated in all 6 rounds of skating. The former were ranked seventh, first, first, third, sixth and sixteenth respectively, while the latter were ranked fourteenth, fifth, tenth, twentieth, sixteenth and fifteenth, respectively.
On February 10, after the first and second rounds of the men's steel frame bobsleigh event, Yan Wengang and Yin Zheng ranked 3rd and 7th respectively. The last two rounds will take place on the evening of February 11. According to the rules of the competition, after the athletes' results in the first three rounds are added together, the top 20 athletes will advance to the fourth round of the competition and decide the champion.
It is worth noting that the last three Winter Olympics men's steel frame snowmobile champions are all from the host country, coupled with the excellent performance of Chinese steel frame snowmobile athletes in multiple events and pre-Winter Olympic training, so that this project has more expectations.
