#Chemistry #Compoundspedia# Hydrogen cyanide, also known as hydrocyanic acid, is liquid in standard state, highly toxic and deadly, and can be said to be the most dangerous cyanide. Hydrogen cyanide is colorless and bitter, and has a faint almond smell, but due to the lack of corresponding genes, four adults cannot smell it at all. In 1787, the French chemist Claude Bertollet determined that hydrocyanic acid did not contain oxygen, which was one of the major contributions to the study of acid theory, overturning the theory that acids were necessary for aerobic atoms.
