Panjin, Liaoning Province, carried out inspections of Olympic symbol infringement

In order to further enhance the public's understanding of the importance of the protection of Olympic symbols and effectively protect the legitimate rights of the rights holders of Olympic symbols, recently, a special inspection team was formed by a number of departments in Panjin City, Liaoning Province, to carry out special inspections on the crowded cultural and sporting goods markets such as Wanda Shopping Mall and Drilling Market, and on the infringement of the use of olympic symbols of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

The special inspection was led by Xia Hua, deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the Panjin Municipal Party Committee, director of the Municipal Copyright Bureau, director of the Municipal Office of "Eliminating Pornography and Cracking Down on Illegal Activities", and Qi Shaobin, director of the Municipal Intellectual Property Office.

During the inspection, the staff took large supermarkets, sporting goods franchise stores and cultural supplies stores as the key areas, and took clothing, alcohol, beverages, souvenirs, toys, sports goods and other commodity categories as the key inspection objects, checked whether the market entities had infringed on the intellectual property rights related to the Olympic symbol, trademarks and other intellectual property rights, and once again emphasized to the merchants the need to continue to do a good job in copyright protection, and strengthened the copyright protection awareness of each business entity.
