Jiang Yufan's home is from Jiayin County, Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province, with the design concept of "red lantern as element, northeast snow lighting" as the design concept.

"We are a small border town, when we were young, the New Year, Chinese New Year's Eve night vigil, the family hung red lanterns, the whole town is full of red lanterns, warm, festive, this is the Chinese New Year in my mind, and home, reunion, beautiful connection, this has my original idea." 」 Jiang Yufan said.

Jiang Yufan said that red lanterns, snow lanterns, and snowball fights are all beautiful memories of northeasterners like Jiang Yufan with a warm "New Year's flavor", and now, through "snow rongrong", she shares these beautiful Chinese culture and Chinese folk customs with the world.

Since 2018, 16 people from the "Snow Rongrong" design team, including Jiang Yufan, spent more than 300 days, produced 32 sets of modification plans, and drawn more than 10,000 sketches, and finally gave birth to this "Snow Rongrong" that looks festive, flexible and warm.

Before designing "Snow Rongrong", Jiang Yufan liked traditional Chinese culture very much, she would study various "Ruyi patterns" and "Great Wall patterns", and would often check papers related to learning and Chinese culture.

"The small hook on the top of the head of the 'Snow Rongrong' and the small lace on the feet are all 'Ruyi patterns', and there are 13 pigeons on the head, which means the 13th Winter Paralympic Games, and the pattern connected to the pigeon pattern is the Beijing landmark building , the Temple of Heaven, which as a whole borrows from the Chinese paper-cutting art form."
