"The traditional prints are wood-bottomed panels, and I use rubber floors." Duan Yankai said that the "ice pier" procedure for making printmaking plates is not complicated, and the image of the "ice pier" is first painted on the bottom board, and then the excess part is shaved off with a woodcut knife, and it can be continuously repaired and improved.
Speaking of the original intention of creation, Duan Yankai said that printmaking is a traditional Chinese artistic expression method, and she hopes to use the hot spot of this "ice pier" to combine with traditional culture to let more people know and understand printmaking.
