Tesla CEO Musk and others were co-opted as academicians of the National Academy of Engineering

The website of the National Academy of Engineering released the list of additional academicians on February 9, and a total of 111 academicians and 22 foreign academicians were selected this time. Among them, Tesla CEO Musk, LG Energy Solutions Michigan President Gray Denise, General Electric Smart Grid Business Head McDonald John, and U.S. Department of Energy Nuclear Safety Deputy Director Jill Hruby were selected. In addition, Fang Daining, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Beijing Institute of Technology, was selected as a foreign academician. Up to now, the total number of academicians of the American Academy of Engineering has reached 2388, and the number of international academicians has reached 310.
