After holding 48,000 bitcoins and losing 101 million, Tesla holds 2 billion bitcoins worth?

Wang Ye said financial news: Just on Monday (7th), in the annual filing to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the global new energy vehicle giant - Tesla disclosed that by the end of 2021, the fair market value of bitcoin held by the company is nearly 2 billion US dollars (1.99 billion US dollars).

Tesla lost $101 million in 2021 due to changes in the value of bitcoin, which is almost 650 million yuan if calculated at the average exchange rate of 6.45 dollars and renminbi in 2021, the documents say.

In other words, in 2021, Tesla lost 650 million yuan by investing in Bitcoin.

It is worth mentioning that Wang Ye said that Finance and Economics noted that according to tesla's previously disclosed documents, in the first quarter of 2021, Tesla invested $1.5 billion in Bitcoin.

While the document doesn't disclose the date of purchase, the price of the digital currency fluctuated between $29,405 in early January and $61,177 in mid-March.

In 2021, the price of Bitcoin will fluctuate between $45,700 and $48,500.

So the question is: How many bitcoins does Tesla hold?

According to cryptocurrency analytics firm CoinGecko, Tesla currently owns 48,000 bitcoins.

In addition, the data also shows that with this number, Tesla has become the second largest holder of bitcoin in the global corporate world.

As for the number one company that sits the most bitcoins in the world, microstrategy, a Virginia-based business intelligence software maker, has more than 121,000 bitcoins worth more than $5 billion.

Of course, just at the end of last year, Tesla's CEO, Elon Musk, said that Tesla had a chance to resume the use of bitcoin payments, provided that the bitcoin mining process must meet environmental requirements.

What do you think about that? What do you think, next, Tesla's attitude towards Bitcoin?
