For the delivery of the Fcwave module for liquid hydrogen ferries, Ballard went to the next city

OFweek Hydrogen has learned that Ballard recently delivered two 200kW FCwave modules to Norled A/S, one of Norway's largest ferry and courier operators. It is reported that the module will be used in the world's first liquid hydrogen-powered ferry MF Hydra.

According to the data, Ballard was founded in 1979, originally a high-tech company that developed lithium batteries, began to enter the field of hydrogen fuel cells in the 1980s, is the "elder" enterprise in the fuel cell industry, has provided technical support for a number of automobile companies, and has also cooperated with many hydrogen energy companies in the mainland.

Ballard's supply of the FCwave module to Norled A/S is an important step in the ship's hydrogen fuel powertrain. It is only because hydrogen fuel power systems are more competitive in the maritime industry than land transportation.

To this end, Ballard has long been for the application of hydrogen fuel cell systems on ships, and launched the Fcwave module in 2020, which has good advantages in durability, efficiency, weight and other aspects, and has been recognized by Norled A/S.

After the successful application of the Ballard Fcwave module on MF Hydra, or let it get more attention from enterprises, so as to promote the "sea" of hydrogen fuel cell systems.
