Officials said that the Xiaomi surging P1 chip is designed by Xiaomi itself and oem by Nanxin Semiconductor (internal code NAME SC8561). This chip has an ultra-high voltage 4:1 charging architecture, which realizes 120W single-cell charging, supports 1:1, 2:1 and 4:1 conversion modes, all modes can be dual-guided, and can realize wired 120W, wireless 50W, wireless reverse charging and other charging functions.
At the same time, the official also said in the statement that Nanxin Semiconductor had previously launched a chip code-named SC8571 in September 2021. The chip is an ultra-high voltage 4:2 charging architecture, which can also achieve 120W dual-cell charging. Xiaomi's self-developed surging P1 chip and the Nanxin SC8571 are completely different in topology, and are two charging chips with different designs, different functions and different positioning.
Xiaomi Mi 12 Pro
On December 28, 2021, Xiaomi launched the first self-developed charging chip - the surging P1, which realized the 120W single-cell charging scheme for the first time, filling the gap in the 120W single-cell fast charging industry. At present, the chip has appeared in the latest generation of flagship Xiaomi Mi 12 Pro.
