The ski jump men's individual standard stage final was divided into two rounds, with Japan's Ryoyuki Kobayashi playing best in the first round, ranking first with 145.4 points. Slovenia's Prevts was close behind with 139.2 points, while Poland's Stoch was third with 136.3 points. Germany's Geiger, the project's original favorite to win the championship, only jumped 96 meters in the first round, and scored 127.5 points to temporarily rank 21st.
In the second round, Austria's Feitner, the 26th appearance, played well in this round, jumping 104 meters, the referee scored 56.5 points, this jump scored 136.3 points, and the total score of the two rounds was 270.8 points, and he was temporarily in the first place. Prevtz, who made his 29th appearance, scored just 126.2 points, for a total of 265.4 points, and he was provisionally in third place. But Kobayashi jumped 99.5 meters in the last jump, and this jump scored 129.6 points, and the total score in the two rounds was 275.0 points, and successfully won the gold medal.
Song Qiwu of the Chinese team in the project participated in the competition, but unfortunately did not qualify from the qualifiers.
