SSE 4 Hours # achieves zero carbon emissions for the first time in the torch Hydrogen energy ushered in a highlight moment

At the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympics, the Beijing Winter Olympic torch, passed by about 1,200 torchbearers, lit the "main torch" of the National Stadium. This is the world's first set of high-pressure hydrogen storage torches, achieving zero carbon emissions for the first time in the history of the Winter Olympics.

In addition to the torch, the Beijing Winter Olympics, as a clean energy show, also achieved the world's first large-scale hydrogen vehicle demonstration investment, and hydrogen energy ushered in a highlight moment!

Hydrogen can light up the Winter Olympics

The Winter Olympics hold the torch "Flying" using green and flammable hydrogen as fuel, which is the world's first set of high-pressure hydrogen storage torches, achieving zero carbon emissions of the torch in the history of the Winter Olympics. Its internal combustion devices are jointly designed and manufactured by the Beijing 11th and 101th Institutes of the Sixth Academy of Aerospace.

It is reported that in order to achieve efficient and stable combustion when rotating for 8 hours and 360 degrees, the main torch adopts the combustion technology of the aerospace hydrogen-oxygen engine. Under the blessing of high-end technology of the heavy equipment of the space power, the main torch does not turn off, does not temper, and does not take off the fire, which is quite reliable.

The world's first large-scale hydrogen energy vehicle demonstration investment

The Beijing Winter Olympics will achieve the world's first large-scale fuel cell vehicle demonstration investment.

According to relevant data from the Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee, more than 1,000 hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, including 816 hydrogen fuel cell buses, will be operated in this Winter Olympic Games to participate in transportation service guarantees.

As a service vehicle in the core area of the Winter Olympic Games, Foton Automobile has a total of more than 1,200 buses escorting the Winter Olympics, of which nearly 500 are Ouhui hydrogen fuel buses, setting a record for the largest hydrogen fuel bus service team.

Hydrogen energy utilization is expected to accelerate

The industry believes that the demonstration application of the Beijing Winter Olympics will enhance the confidence of enterprises and local governments in the application of hydrogen energy, and the utilization of hydrogen energy will usher in a period of rapid development.

The China Hydrogen Energy Alliance predicts that under the carbon peak scenario in 2030, the proportion of hydrogen energy in China's terminal energy system will increase from 2.7% in 2019 to 6%, and the corresponding annual demand for hydrogen will increase from 33.42 million tons in 2020 to 37.15 million tons in 2030 and 130 million tons in 2060, with an average annual growth rate of about 3.5%.
