It was the Spring Festival, and every household set off firecrackers to celebrate, mixed with the sound of firecrackers. At that time, many people heard it, but they all thought it was the New Year's cannon, I don't know who bought this loud firecracker, so they didn't pay special attention, plus it was late at night, and no one came out to check it out.
A few loud noises the day before did not attract the attention of the villagers, but after going out the next day, many villagers found a huge hole in a wasteland near the village, and the hole was very deep, and the villagers who gathered together to measure at that time vaguely felt that there was something strange about this matter, so they immediately reported it to the relevant departments.
At that time, archaeologists were distressed to see the situation at the scene, and the tomb robbers used this method to blast the tomb, which can be said to cause great damage to the tomb, but with the progress of archaeological work, experts found that the destruction of this ancient tomb was not very serious, and only the sealing layer of the tomb was exploded.
And in order to confuse the tomb robbers, the owner of this tomb also placed two fake coffins, and after the wind layer was opened, there were some ceramic fragments and shells inside, which were also used to confuse the tomb robbers, because these things were not valuable, so they would give up the excavation of this tomb. However, after the analysis of archaeologists, the real tomb is underneath this fake tomb, so excavation work continues.
Archaeologists were very happy when they found that there were tombs below, which meant that the previous tomb robbers did not take all the tombs, and in order to promote the excavation, they also transferred excavators to work together. During the excavations, archaeologists found sand on the stones, which was a very dangerous sign.
In fact, this is in order to prevent the tomb from being stolen in the tomb, the ancients came up with a way, the sand and stones will increase the possibility of the tomb collapsing, and such a design will make the tomb robbers buried deep in the tomb, even if the burial goods are found. Fortunately, archaeologists at the time discovered the problem and later used other methods of excavation.
Finally, in the tomb of this Chu nobleman, archaeologists excavated a total of thousands of burial items, and there were more than 1,000 bronzes alone, of which the Dragon Ear Tiger Square Pot found was listed as a national treasure bronze cultural relics.
Because of the design of the owner of this tomb, this tomb in Guozhuang Village was not found by the stolen tomb thieves, and it is understood that the tomb was patronized by the stolen tomb thieves at least 10 times, but these precious cultural relics were eventually preserved.
