Tonight, the Chinese short track speed skating team won the first gold medal for the Chinese team in the short track speed skating mixed team 2000m relay event at the Winter Olympics.

The reporter learned that at the award ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympics, the souvenirs of the award-winning athletes will be based on ice piers and snow rongrong, supplemented by garlands of pine, bamboo and plum woven by the "Three Friends of the Cold Year". The bouquet of awards is made of the intangible cultural heritage technology Haipai velvet thread weaving technique hook, which is a "never withering" velvet flower. Hand-woven, each bunch is unique. The bouquet includes roses, moonflowers, bell orchids, hydrangeas, laurel and olives, symbolizing friendship, tenacity, happiness, unity, victory and peace.

It is worth mentioning that the bouquet of the Winter Olympics was handmade by the representative project of Shanghai Intangible Cultural Heritage "Haipai Velvet Thread Weaving Technique", which not only retains the shape of the bouquet in the Olympic award ceremony, but also practices the concept of thrift and sustainability, which means warmth, peace, and can be permanently preserved, becoming "the Olympic flower that never withers".

The award ceremony of the Beijing Winter and Paralympic Games shared 1251 bouquets, with a total of 16731 flowers. Each flower has leaves and flowers, and is made by hand. A single rose takes at least 5 hours for a knotweighter. In addition, due to the different materials and techniques, it takes up to 35 hours to complete a bouquet of exquisite flowers, and the total hand-made time of all bouquets is nearly 50,000 hours. This glorious and arduous task has mobilized the participation of seven organized societies in Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and other provinces and cities.
