For the first time, the opening ceremony used the highly reliable, low-latency EUHT wireless broadband technology with independent intellectual property rights in the mainland to display the 8K ultra-high-definition live broadcast wireless transmission. At the same time, through the first 8K ultra-high-definition TV channel for end users in China, the Beijing Radio and Television Station Winter Olympic Documentary 8K Test Channel, as the signal source, the AVS3 encoding technology independently developed by the mainland is used to open up the transmission path from Beijing Radio and Television Station to the National Centre for the Performing Arts.
As the first "City of Double Olympics" in history, Beijing has completed a large-scale city-level 8K broadcasting system in the early stage. The broadcast duration is approximately 80 hours.
What's different about this broadcast? Yang Jian, deputy general manager of Zoomlion Super Qing/Collaboration Center, told reporters that the clarity of 8K is 4 times that of 4K and 16 times that of 1080p, which can bring more real and shocking experience effects to the audience.
It is understood that this broadcast truck is 17 meters long and 4.5 meters wide, and can accommodate more than 20 staff members working on the car at the same time. Yang Jian introduced that this set of professional broadcast vehicles independently designed and integrated by them is also the only comprehensive experimental platform for the gradual development of ultra-high-definition domestic equipment in China, which is composed of video vehicles and audio vehicles, and integrates the world's most advanced broadcast vehicle technology such as 8K HDR, 4K HDR, and ultra-high-speed slow motion shooting.
To understand simply, the interior of the 8K+5G OB truck is like a miniature mobile TV station, with a built-in 8K large screen and several 4K screens, with the help of 5G technology, ultra-high-definition video production and dissemination. That is to say, the production of the program is all based on this BROADCAST truck, and then compressed by the staff into a high-quality video stream that can be transmitted by 5G, which is transmitted to the big screen through 5G.
"Especially when watching sports games, 8K screens are very advantageous. Current HDTV uses a 25-frame system with only 25 frames of complete frames per second. 4K and 8K have at least 50 frames per second, so the motion picture is smoother and more continuous. Yang Jian said.
It is worth mentioning that Zoomlion SuperQing/ Collaboration Center took the lead in breaking through the bottleneck of 8K front-end integration technology this time, promoting the collaborative research of short-board technologies and products, and forming the world's first set of more than 20 technologies and products, the first set of the country and domestic substitution. "In the past, the localization rate of mainland broadcast vehicles was low, but the localization rate of related technical products has reached 15% in the ultra-high-definition broadcast vehicles applied to the Winter Olympics this time." Yang Jian said that this kind of high-load, high-pressure event broadcasting is a very good stress test and practical test for all domestic equipment participating in 8K ultra-high-definition broadcasting.
