IT House understands that the W680 motherboard will support the Intel Xeon E-3300 processor in the LGA1700 package, which will be used for workstations as well as entry-level servers.

In terms of parameters, the Xeon E-3300 processor should have specifications similar to that of the 12th Generation Core, that is, up to 16 cores and 24 threads, with a choice of 35 W, 65 W and 125 W models. The new W680 motherboard platform will also bring DDR5 and PCIe 5.0 support. In addition, Intel should enable AVX-512 on the Xeon E-3300 processor.

The MBD-X13SAE motherboard based on the W680 chipset is reportedly priced at 442 euros (about 3217.76 yuan), can be ordered from Sona.de, and delivered within 3 – 5 business days, which means that the release date of the Intel Xeon E-3300 processor is not far away.
