Emma Notting was born on 22 March 1991 in Önschesvik, Sweden, the son of an ice hockey player who played for Swedish clubs from 1983 to 1991 and represented the Swedish national team in international competitions several times. Under the influence of her father, Emma Notting began playing hockey.

In 2004, Emma Notting began playing for the first season of the local club. In 14 seasons, she won the Swedish Ice Hockey League (SDHL) in 2011-2012, 2015-2016, 2017-2018, 2018-2019 and 2020-2021.
