The launch was the sixth flight and landing of the Falcon 9 sub-class, and the unmanned barge that separated from the first and second stages and landed on the Atlantic Ocean "lacked a sense of solemnity". The first stage rocket has previously carried out crew-1 and Crew-2 crewed Dragon spacecraft launch missions, SXM-8 launch missions, CRS-23 Cargo Dragon spacecraft International Space Station resupply missions, and X-ray imaging polarization detector (IXPE) launch missions.

This launch is the 36th batch of SpaceX special network deployment of SpaceX satellites since the first batch of 60 "Starlink" satellites were launched in May 2019, and it is also the third batch of "Starlink" networking special distribution this year. Last year, SpaceX set a record of 31 falcon 9 rocket launches in a year, 17 of which were specially deployed "Starlink" satellite networking launches.

Counting the "Starlink" satellites carried by the previous "carpooling", as of now, SpaceX has launched a total of 2089 "Starlink" satellites. If you count the two test satellites Microsat-2A and Microsat-2B launched in February 2018, SpaceX launched 2091 Starlink satellites.

Through the Starlink network, "in most places, users are expected to see download speeds of 100Mb/s-200Mb/s and 20 millisecond latency," the official website of Starlink said. "Users pay $499 for hardware that contains antennas, and the service fee is $99 per month.

SpaceX also recently launched a more expensive premium service. StarLink Premium editions cost $2,500 for hardware and $500 per month for service, with deliveries starting in the second quarter of 2022 as early as possible. According to the official website of "StarLink", "Starlink" Premium Edition is designed for high-demand users and provides high-throughput connectivity for small offices, stores and super users around the world. The premium version has more than twice the antenna capabilities of the original, and premium users are expected to see download speeds of 150-500Mbps and latency of 20-40 milliseconds.
