During the Spring Festival, it is natural to talk about the topic of the Spring Festival, so-called: one side of the water and soil and the other side of the people, so each place has different customs, at the same time, because of the progress of history, the change of the times, people's living habits have also changed, the local customs are also changing unchanged.
Check the "Fangcheng County Chronicle" to know that the original Spring Festival customs before Fangcheng Port are still very rich and have a lot of content. According to the current administrative division, the establishment of Fangcheng was formally established at the end of the Qing Dynasty, and it is now called Fangcheng County, which is generally called Fangchenggang City.
Fangcheng is a coastal city, but also a border city, but also a city of ethnic minorities, there are four major ethnic groups in the territory, namely: Han, Zhuang, Yao, Beijing.
The old custom of the Spring Festival of the Han people in Fangcheng, when the first day of the first year, is also at one o'clock in the morning as "Jiaochun", and every household fires a cannon at the same time to celebrate, and now according to the times, it has been changed to 0 o'clock, and the New Year has officially begun.
New clothes are put on, the juniors pay homage to the elders, of course, it is indispensable to say some good words, auspicious language, the elders will make a big profit. On the first day of the Lunar New Year, the most important thing is also to worship the ancestors, pay tribute, burn incense candles, and have good economic conditions.
For breakfast on the first day of the first year, it is more traditional to eat glutinous rice balls and sweet sugar water. After eating, go out to "visit the New Year", meet relatives and friends, and congratulate each other. Women's families will go to the suburbs to "steal greens", that is, steal vegetables.
This kind of "stealing vegetables" is actually a kind of activity to please the New Year, and it does not hurt elegance. Many places in Guangxi are popular, but after entering the new era, this custom slowly disappeared, and many people did not know it.
Rich in the family, will invite the lion team to the front of the door to dance the lion, the main family will set off firecrackers to help celebrate, which is commonly known as "simmering lions", lions to "pick green", to the new era, this kind of private please wake up lion team to help celebrate less, slowly developed to some units to organize activities. As for now, firecrackers are not recommended to be released, and the folk Spring Festival activity of "simmering lions" has disappeared.
Generally, the second and fourth days of the first year are mainly to visit relatives, go to foreign homes, or go to the homes of relatives and friends who are close to each other to visit the New Year; the third day of the first year does not go anywhere, cleaning the courtyard, and the folk custom is called "sending poor ghosts".
The fifteenth day of the first month, is the last day of the Spring Festival, eat the "Lantern Festival", play with colorful lights, set off fireworks, or very long, the same to prepare three animals to worship the ancestors, after the sacrifice also means to disperse the year, to start a year's livelihood. At the same time, the family of a boy born last year hung a flower lantern in the ancestral hall to indicate Thattting and announce good news to the ancestors.
The old Customs of the Spring Festival of the Fangcheng Zhuang people are not simple, and many customs are the same as those of the Han People, but there are also some differences: the first day does not eat vegetarian, and the third year does not send poor ghosts.
The old Zhuang people eat vegetarian for breakfast and meat for dinner, and the ancestor worship on this day is also exquisite! It is divided into vegetarian sacrifice and three animal sacrifices.
Vegetarian sacrifice is the worship of vegetarian, that is, the tribute on the sacrifice is vegetarian. Slice the banana bone into slices to make the dish, mix the red and white sticky rice together, and cut the rice dumplings into a circle. Then divide these three things into several piles and place them separately on the lid, which will become a tribute. How many heaps are there? That is, from the father's generation, counting three generations upwards, seeing how many ancestral spirits there are, how many incense seats, how many tributes, and then toasting a cup of tea and a cup of wine respectively, it will become an ancestor worship offering.
This vegetarian sacrifice looks simple, but the formal ceremony is not simple. The family prospered, three generations up, how many incense cases had to be placed.
The three animal sacrifices, that is, the use of pork, chicken, and fish to form three animals, these three things are easy to see in daily life, and the first one is mainly for the newly deceased but unrelated ancestors in the family. In addition, on the second day of the first year, three animal sacrifices must also be carried out, and only after the end can they go to visit relatives in the New Year, which is the meaning of the opening year; the three animal sacrifices on the fifteenth day of the first month indicate the scattered year.
The most famous of the Zhuang people is naturally singing mountain songs, and some literary and artistic activities have been added in the new era. Generally, the size of the village, will ask a few "electric women" to sing "electricity" (Zhuang language: singers sing mountain songs), while singing and playing (national instruments), while dancing, these songs, lyrics, in different eras, are different, in short, generally sing until the third year of junior high school.
The third day of the first year is also a big cleaning day, cleaning the garbage inside and outside the house, and by the way, all the things that are worshipped by the ancestors of the first and second days of the first year have been removed.
The old customs of the Yao People in Fangcheng are basically the same as those of the Han people, the difference is that on the first day of the first year, if there is a business of doing Daogong, the average person can go empty-handed to Daogong to worship the New Year, and Daogong still has to send red envelopes; however, if you want to go to Daogong and learn to be Daogong, then you have to bring gifts and be preached by the master.
The Jing people of Fangcheng also have their own Spring Festival customs, when Chinese New Year's Eve, every family will make a good meal, and more importantly, bai (note: rice is an ancient word) is done well, and white is an important food for the Spring Festival.
At noon, the whole village gathered in the village Ha Ting to worship the gods with three animals (pork, chicken, and fish), and then went back to each family to worship their ancestors, because the Jing people all have a common ancestral cultural belief, the first people before themselves, which is equivalent to the Han culture of worshiping distant ancestors, ancestral shrines, and then worshiping their own direct ancestors.
After the reunion dinner in the evening, every family, men, women and children, must keep the age, and at midnight, they can put on white offerings to their ancestors before they can sleep.
The first day of the first year is also a regular custom ceremony, early in the morning, they all take incense candles to the well to burn the well god and "buy new water", water is the source of life, worthy of awe. At the same time, the first day of the Chinese New Year is also not allowed to visit the door and visit the New Year, and the family is honestly at home. In the second year of junior high school, you can start to go out to visit your relatives and friends for the New Year.
The fifteenth day of the first month, also called "Small Year", the three animal sacrifices are also very important, after worshiping the ancestors, the Spring Festival is over.
