Sentence Mang in "Big Fish Begonia"

In their daily life and labor, the ancient ancestors never understood the laws of natural phenomena such as wind, frost, rain, snow, thunder, electricity, and spring, summer, autumn, and winter that occurred on the earth. While mastering the laws of natural solar terms in spring, summer, autumn and winter, it has bred "god" culture and folk culture beliefs. The emergence of this kind of festival, god and folk culture is also the desire and spiritual sustenance of ancient human beings to live in harmony with nature.

Among those many gods, the god of wind and thunder are well-known and well-known to the public, but there are many gods that everyone may not know particularly well, and the god of Spring, Gu Mang, may belong to the latter. In the first two years of the famous domestic animation "Big Fish and Begonias", there was a figure of Gu Mang.

The spring god "Jurmang", also known as "Mangshen", is in charge of the East. Therefore, every spring, people either go to the eastern suburbs or set up an eastern church to worship this god of man, praying that in the coming year, when the wind and rain will prevail, the grain will be abundant. Jurmang is also the god of grass and trees, also known as the "Qing Emperor", so when the Han Dynasty officials greeted Jurmang, the flags were all blue, and they would wear green clothes, and the county officials wore blue turbans. Ordinary people also have their own ceremonies to welcome spring, such as the Southern Dynasty Liang Zongyi's "Jingchu Chronicle" recorded, the folk will "cut the ribbon for the swallow", cut the silk fabric into the shape of a swallow, wear it out to welcome the spring. In short, from the imperial court to the countryside, the ancient spring day must be full of greenery, and it will make people feel infinitely happy to think about it. What is the origin of The Sentence Mang?

Legend has it that Shao Hao (the ancestor of the Chinese humanities, the title of the leader of the tribal alliance in ancient times, the eldest son of the Yellow Emperor) had a son named Zhong, who later assisted Tai Hao and became the god of wooden officials after his death. Judging from the glyph, the word "sentence" resembles a small bud that has just sprouted, with the head hooked, while the word "mang" is those furry burrs. Isn't this the image of fertility and growth?

What does that sentence look like? According to the "Classic of Mountains and Seas and Overseas East Classics", Jurman has the body of a bird, the face of a person, often wearing a white robe, and riding two dragons when traveling. Guo Pu of the Jin Dynasty further commented: "Aspect plain clothing". Taken together, it is a square face, a bird's body, dressed in white, and riding two dragons. The Tang Dynasty poet Yan Chaoyin wrote two poems like this: "The face of the man is multiplied by two dragons, and the Tao is the spring god Wei Jiuwei." The image of a bird man flying in the wind by the royal double dragon jumped on the paper. And Li Shangyin's sentence Mang: "The good period is uncertain in the spring, and the spring is in the middle of the year." May the young woman of Jurmangsuo be blessed, and it is easy to lose the years without teaching", so that the image of a strong god of Jurmang will be more deeply rooted in the hearts of the people.

However, with the passage of time, the image of Jurmang has gradually changed, old or young, and even become a shepherd boy riding a bull in the spring, with a double bun on his head and a willow whip in his hand, also known as a mangtong.

In addition to the extraordinary image, the more extraordinary thing about the god of Jurman is his identity. In the myths, legends and folk beliefs of the mainland, Jurman is one of the few gods with multiple identities. In addition to being the "main spring affair" and the spring god who guards the spring, he is also the creator god who participates in the rectification of the universe, the creator god in charge of crop growth, the oriental god who is in charge of the "oriental pole", the grass and wood god who manages agricultural affairs, and at the same time, he is also the god of life. With the blessing of such multiple identities, Jurmang is also unique in Chinese mythology.
