When the OLED screen displays a still screen for a long time, due to the different total working hours of OLED in different areas of the screen, the degree of attenuation of the luminous efficiency is different, which will lead to inconsistent overall brightness of the screen, and there will be screen afterimage in some areas, which is called "burning screen".

China Telecom pointed out that the liquid crystal screen changes the light transmittance by changing the arrangement of the liquid crystal molecules in each sub-pixel, and then controls the transformation of the surface. The change in the arrangement of liquid crystal molecules takes time, and the lower the temperature, the longer the transition takes.
Outside in the cold winter, the time for liquid crystal molecules to change their arrangement may increase to a degree that can be detected by the naked eye, so it seems that the picture on the screen has a smear.
