It is reported that BYD is continuously increasing its investment in Shenzhen, actively integrating into the Shenzhen-Shantou Special Cooperation Zone, and building the Shenzhen-Shantou BYD Automobile Industrial Park project.

Recently, the Shenzhen-Shantou Special Cooperation Zone Management Committee signed a cooperation agreement with BYD Automobile Industry Co., Ltd., and BYD will invest an additional 20 billion yuan for the construction of the second phase of the Shenzhen-Shantou BYD Automobile Industrial Park.

It is reported that the second phase of the Shenzhen-Shantou BYD Automobile Industrial Park project is planned to be a core parts production base for 600,000 new energy vehicles.

On August 13, 2021, the Shenzhen-Shantou Special Cooperation Zone Management Committee signed a strategic cooperation agreement with BYD Automobile Industry Co., Ltd. to invest 5 billion yuan to build the first phase of the Shenzhen-Shantou BYD Automobile Industrial Park. This is an additional new investment project, and the annual output value of the project is 100 billion yuan after all the projects reach production.

The first phase of investment of 5 billion yuan, to the second phase of investment of 20 billion yuan, the amount of investment jumped, investment confidence is getting stronger, the construction of new energy vehicle industry chain, attract more upstream and downstream enterprises to the Shenzhen-Shantou Special Cooperation Zone to gather, bigger and stronger and better Shenzhen-Shantou new energy automobile industry cooperation platform, to promote Shenzhen to accelerate the development of green manufacturing and real economy.
